This year, our ambulance service is proud to celebrate 50 years of serving our community, we're committed to continuing that mission for years to come.

As part of that commitment, we're raising funds to replace our LUCAS CPR devices, which are reaching the end of their service life. These devices provide consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac emergencies and are an important tool for helping us deliver the best possible care. Each device costs over $20,000!

🚨 The EMS ROCS Act is back.

Reintroduced in Congress as S. 3730 / H.R. 7277, this bicameral bill would finally require Medicare to reimburse EMS for the care delivered on scene, not just the ride to the hospital.

The gap it closes: roughly 1 in 5 EMS calls don’t require transport, and about 40% of patients we treat are Medicare beneficiaries. Iowa medics are providing assessment, stabilization, and life-saving care every day, uncompensated.

Rural EMS is the backbone of emergency care across Iowa. Make your voice heard.
