Young Professionals Institute The Young Professionals Institute--the region's premier leadership development training experience--is presented by UMPI and MMG Insurance.

The Young Professionals Institute at the University of Maine at Presque Isle is a professional development course designed for emerging leaders looking to hone their professional skills. This Facebook group has been created to provide a forum for YPI participants, graduates, and supporters to network and share ideas beyond the classroom.

Nominations are open for the 17th annual Young Professionals Institute! This year's theme is "The Anatomy of Leadership". Inspired by the intricacies of the human body, each session will examine a different "system" of leadership--from the brain (strategic thinking) to the heart (emotional intelligence). Along the way, participants will learn about effective communication within a diverse workforce, fostering a culture of accountability, leveraging modern technologies, and guiding teams through change.

This year's theme is "Leadership Lessons from the Midway"--participants will learn about communication, time management, agility, and take part in a deeper exploration of remote teamwork, technology and AI advancements, and intercultural relations.
