🇺🇸 80 flags. New homes. One impromptu service project.

During a recent storage cleanup, Prescott-Sunup Rotary members discovered nearly 80 gently used American flags from a past service project. President Russ turned the find into an opportunity to serve!

At last week’s meeting, members assembled the flags on flagpoles so they could be put back to good use. They’re now being donated to the American Legion in Prescott, Touchmark at The Ranch, and club members. Touchmark plans to line its drive with the flags in honor of our veterans on appropriate holidays.

💙 Taking action for local students.

Prescott Sunup Rotary recently presented a $3,000 Rotary District grant to Mingus Springs Charter School to help provide weekend food bags for 40+ children.

And we’re not stopping there. Our club has adopted Mingus Springs and will be working with school leadership to identify more ways we can support its 143 K-8 students in the months ahead.

Prescott-Sunup Rotary is proud to help spread the word about the Yavapai County Veterans’ Stand Down, connecting local veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness with essential services and support in one place.

Services include housing and employment assistance, veterans benefits support, medical and mental health services, job resources, food, clothing, and more.
