Tonight's moon. The weather is getting warmer so no excuse, get out there. Jupiter is still high enough in the western sky and of course Venus is gaining altitude for it's summer grand show.

A huge eruption from this sunspot group a few days ago. I have not heard any prediction on possible aurora yet.

Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a RARE G4/G5 Watch for tonight as another powerful X-Solar Flare from the sun is heading DIRECTLY TOWARDS EARTH. This may cause Auroal Activity (Northern Lights) as far south as the Gulf Coast, once again.

AURORA ALERT - Sunspot 4341 has erupted with a massive flare and CME this morning. There is an alert out for as far south as Arizona of a possible sighting tonight and tomorrow night. It's worth a look after darkness.
