We're looking for sponsors for this year's Wide Open Spaces Celebration! This year, we're launching the "Birds of a Feather" campaign for raising funds to preserve ~640 acres of historic Date Creek Ranch. The Ranch is a host to 42 species of birds which thrive in this rare desert riparian environment. Help us offset costs for this event so more proceeds can go toward preserving Date Creek Ranch! Please join us at the 2025 Wide Open Spaces Celebration on Thursday, September 18th from 5:30-8:00pm at The Federal ! Join us to celebrate the launch of the “Birds of a Feather” campaign to raise funds for a ~640-acre conservation easement on the historic Date Creek Ranch , a rare riparian oasis in the high desert, where wildlife and happy cows thrive. Local birding guide Eric Moore will give us a birding “tour” of the Ranch through a photo compilation of his many trips there. This presentation will be followed by a live ask for your help in raising $150,000 for the purchase of this conservation easement. $50 per person to register. Enjoy heavy appetizers and adult beverages. There will also be a silent auction with diverse items and experiences to choose from!

Three years ago, Maya Dailey risked losing the urban farmland she had spent seven years renting and cultivating. A conservation easement through Phoenix’s new Farmland Preservation Program, managed by the Central Arizona Land Trust, saved Maya’s Farm.
