Walk & Connect was a great way to spend the morning!

Great weather, great company, and plenty of good conversation. Everyone walked at their own pace and chose their own distance, with a few of us sticking around for a little extra time and mileage.

One of the things we love about the Veterans Connection Hub is creating opportunities for Veterans to get together and enjoy some time connecting.

Thanks to everyone who joined us today. See you next month!

It takes a community to reach the finish line and cut the ribbon! U.S.VETS- Prescott in partnership with Gorman & Company celebrated the adaptive reuse of six early-1900s Officers' Quarters transformed into one-and two bedroom units paired with new-build one-bedroom units, creating 103 affordable, supportive apartment homes for senior, homeless, and at-risk veterans. This project honors the site's legacy while creating a brighter future for those who have served. We were honored to work with Sally Schwenn, Arizona Market President, Gorman & Company and her incredible team to make this vision a reality! We also shared this historic day with Governor Katie Hobbs of Arizona; Ruby Dhillion-Williams, Director, Arizona Department of Housing; Darryl Vincent, President & CEO U.S.VETS; Director John Scott, Arizona Department of Veterans' Services; Arlethe Rio, Veteran's Outreach Manager, Senator Mark Kelly Office; Representative Quang Nguyen, AZ State Respresentative, District 1; Director Steve Sample, Medical Center Director, Northern Arizona VA Health Care System; Mayor Cathey Rusing, City of Prescott; Chris Kuknyo, Yavapai Board of Supervisor; Brendon Bartholomew, Executive Director & General Manager, USAA Phoenix; Kathryn Leonard, State Historic Preservation Office, Arizona.
A special thanks for their unwavering support:
Arizona Complete Health, Arizona Department of Administration, Arizona Department of Housing, Arizona Industrial Development Authority, Arizona State Parks, Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, CREA, Yavapai Prescott Indian Tribe, City of Prescott, Arizona, Harbor Freight, The Home Depot, LISC Phoenix, USAA and all of the private donors who made this project possible!
