Public lands are ours. They belong to all of us. But access isn’t automatic—and it isn’t permanent. When places are damaged, overused, or neglected, closures follow. Restrictions increase. Opportunities disappear.

If we want these lands to stay open, we have to treat them like they matter.

Responsible recreation isn’t optional. It’s how we protect access—for hunters, hikers, anglers, climbers, families, and the next generation.

The future of public lands depends on how we show up today.

Fun five mile finale ride for the BCHCAZ FUNdraiser weekend at BumbleBee this weekend. We did what I call the Streamboat Loop - if you squint really hard, the tracks sort of look like boat. I like it because it has no road and great desert scenery!

8 of us squeezed in one last beautiful ride. It was a perfect calm mellow peaceful ending to a great weekend!

Cheers til next time!

Giddy up!

🐴 Trail Tip Time! 🚵‍♀️

Moments like this remind us what Wheel Fun is all about: helping kids build confidence, connection, and respect for the outdoors. The Back Country Horsemen of Arizona stopped by to show our riders how to safely share the trails with horses, a perfect example of the kind of hands-on learning that happens in every Wheel Fun program.

👉 Trail Tip: When you meet a horse on the trail, stop, move to the downhill side, and talk calmly to the rider. It helps the horse stay relaxed and everyone stay safe.

As we head toward the end of the year, we’re celebrating partners and donors who make lessons like this possible for kids across Arizona.
