🌟 BEHIND THE BADGE: MEET RANGER FRANK SNOWNEY! 🌟
🚨 Arizona Rangers | Granite Mountain Company 🚨
Behind every uniform is a story of service, dedication, and a desire to make a difference. Today, we’re excited to introduce Ranger Frank Snowney, whose commitment to serving others began long before he joined the Arizona Rangers!
🇺🇸 A Legacy of Service
Frank has been an Arizona Ranger for a little over three years, but his roots in public service run much deeper.
He served in the United States Army from the late 1980s into the early 1990s, following a family tradition of service. His father served as a Military Police officer in the Army before retiring as a Sergeant with the California City Police Department.
Growing up admiring his father’s dedication to law enforcement, Frank developed a strong appreciation for discipline, integrity, and helping others.
When a friend introduced him to the Arizona Rangers, he knew he’d found another opportunity to give back.
🚓 Making a Difference When It Matters
One of Frank’s most memorable assignments took place during the September 2024 Chino Grinder bicycle race.
With temperatures climbing into the upper 90s, Frank and another Ranger encountered three individuals experiencing heat-related medical emergencies.
Together, they helped all three individuals out of dangerous conditions and ensured they received appropriate medical attention.
It’s an experience Frank hasn’t forgotten and a reminder that sometimes being in the right place at the right time can make all the difference.
❤️ Community, Camaraderie & Commitment
Frank especially enjoys law-enforcement assist assignments, where he can work alongside local officers and help support public safety.
Another favorite? The Prescott Rodeo during Fourth of July week! He also looks forward to National Night Out at Memory Park in Chino Valley, where he gets to connect with families, first responders, and the community.
For Frank, Granite Mountain Company is about more than the duties. It’s about the people, the teamwork, and the shared commitment to service.
The company’s name holds special significance for him because it honors the Granite Mountain Hotshots. Frank even had the opportunity to meet Brendan McDonough, the sole survivor of the Hotshots, an experience he considers particularly meaningful.
🎯 Training & Professional Life
Frank takes pride in his AZPOST fi****ms qualifications and NRA Range Safety Officer certification.
Outside the Rangers, he works professionally as a Code Enforcement Officer, continuing his commitment to serving the public.
🎧 BUT WAIT… THERE’S MORE TO FRANK!
Here’s something you probably wouldn’t guess from seeing him in uniform!
Frank has been a DJ since he was just 13 years old! 🎶
And yes, he’s STILL doing it!
When he’s not working, volunteering, or spinning music, you’ll find him spending time with his wife and family, traveling, target shooting, watching movies, or walking their two dogs.

Frank believes in being the best person he can be and always acting with integrity.
For him, that means doing the right thing, treating others with respect, and trying to leave every situation a little better than he found it.
💙 THE HEART OF A VOLUNTEER
One thing Frank wishes more people understood about the Arizona Rangers is that their service is entirely volunteer.
Rangers dedicate their personal time, purchase their own uniforms and equipment, and give up evenings, weekends, and holidays to support their communities.
There’s no paycheck waiting at the end of a shift. The reward is knowing they’ve made a difference.
