As of now, our 2013 tournament is scheduled to go on as planned. However, several important changes have been made.

Because we were not able to get everyone registered and paid by the initial deadline, we will not be providing t-shirts and wristbands for all participating players. T-shirts will, however, be for sale if you wish to purchase one.

Also, only the winning team will be rewarded with a trophy.

With that being said, I have decided to drop the registration fees to $150. If you have paid already, you can choose to donate the money for tournament sponsorship or you can have your money refunded.

As of now, 7 teams have registered but not all have paid. THE ABSOLUTE LAST DAY TO PAY YOUR FEES IS AUGUST 16, 2013 BEFORE 5pm. No exceptions. No teams will be accepted after that. If we are unable to get at least 8 teams by next Friday, I will cancel this year's tournament and begin working on 2014's, in hopes of correcting the issues from this year.

If you are an individual and you wish to play but cannot arrange a team, you can sign up as an individual and we will put you on a team. Be it with other individuals who sign up or an existing team. Your fee will be $10 and you will also need to complete your registration form and pay your fee before 5pm on August 16, 2013.

I am super excited for this year's Play for Pink Tournament!

However, we only have a little over a month left and not very many teams have signed up. NOTHING HURTS A GOOD TOURNAMENT MORE THAN PROCRASTINATION. If you are interested in playing, please sign-up as soon as possible. If you are committed to playing, please go ahead and submit your registration forms. We will accept them now. Just know that your fee must be paid by August 2, 2013. We have even added the option for you to pay online.

If we cannot get enough participation, I will be forced to pull the plug on this event as I cannot afford to sponsor it this year like I did for our 2012 tournament. So, if you want to play GET THOSE FORMS IN! Then tell a friend. And have them tell a friend. And them a friend and so forth.

Let's get this thing going! Our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, nieces, and friends are counting on us!

2nd Annual Co-Ed Charity Softball Tournament

We are honored to partner with the Joy To Life Foundation to help the local fight against breast cancer and find a cure one homerun at a time. A fee of $250 will cover your team’s registration. We will have a fun filled day of softball, door prizes and much more. Proceeds will go to the Joy To Life Foundation to benefit the women in our very own community who are battling this horrific disease.
*All participants to sign up will receive a free tournament t- shirt and wristband
Registration: May 27-August 2 •• Tournament to Begin At 8am •• Cost: $250 per team

I know that I am EXTREMELY late but as I promised, here is the update from our 2012 tournament:

We raised a total of $721!

I will be turning the funds over to the Joy to Life Foundation on Saturday at the Walk Of Life. Originally, I wasn't sure if I would be able to get back to Alabama to participate but since I am, I'd like to invite anyone who wants to walk with me to come out. Once I know how many people would like to do this, we can arrange a location to meet that morning. Individual registration closes tomorrow but you can still register the morning of the walk. The registration fee is $35. If you participated in our First Annual Play For Pink Charity Softball Tournament and purchased a t-shirt, I'd love to see you wearing it =) If you did not purchase a t-shirt and are doing the walk on Saturday, message me and I will try to get you one. Be advised that there are only have 8 leftover shirts (1 Small, 7 Mediums).

As many of you may know, I have quite a bit going on this year. I will be moving from South Carolina to either Georgia or back home to Alabama and then I will be getting married in September. However, since we had a pretty successful and fun event last year, I want to do it again. I would love to make 2013 bigger and better and since we get new "Likes" for this page daily, I'm pretty sure that we can make that happen. Currently, the top 5 teams have raised funds in the range of $2100 to almost $7900. I would LOVE to be the number one fundraiser next year. Especially since the company that my future brother-in-law works for is #4 on that list (= I'm in the process of forming a committee to ensure that things go smoothly. I'm hoping to have all the information posted here no later than the end of May. I am also hoping to move the tournament to the end of August so that we are not having to deal with cold, gloomy, rainy weather again this year.
