🚗💚 Grants on the Go is back!

We’re hitting the road again to celebrate this year’s competitive grant recipients across all seven counties we serve.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be making stops in Barber, Comanche, Kingman, Kiowa, Pratt, Rice, and Stafford Counties to deliver some good news, celebrate the organizations doing great work, and grab a little lunch along the way.

Enjoy a few photos from last year's adventures and we can't wait to show you what's next! 👀

💚 We trust the people doing the work.

Our local nonprofits know their communities, their needs, and where support can make the biggest difference.

As we get ready for Match Day, we’re taking a closer look at what it means to practice trust-based philanthropy and why trusting our nonprofit partners matters.

💚 A whole lot of work goes into getting grants into the hands of local organizations!

This year, SCCF received nearly 160 applications, with 60 volunteers giving their time to read, discuss, and select the projects that will receive funding.

Together, they helped SCCF award over $185,000 to projects making a difference across South Central Kansas.

A huge thank you to our grant committee volunteers! Your time, thoughtfulness, and care make this process possible. 💚

Applicants will be hearing from SCCF soon, with our public grantee announcement coming later this fall! 👀

⭐ 26 seconds. The 26th. A day worth remembering. ⭐

Every community has people who see what could be possible and decide to do something about it.

For SCCF, that started in 1994 with community members who believed our region would be stronger with a Community Foundation. 🌳

More than three decades later, their vision continues through the donors, volunteers, board members, nonprofits, students, and communities who keep it moving forward.

🎉 Here’s to the people who started it, the people carrying it forward, and the generations still to come.

❤️ Today, we’re celebrating the people who .

To everyone who has donated, volunteered, spread the word, partnered with us or simply believes every child should have books of their own: thank you!

Because of you, 123 children in Comanche and Kiowa counties receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Your generosity helps bring the joy of reading into homes, spark imaginations and create special moments between children and the people who love them. 🌻

Dolly often called her Local Imagination Library Partners the “true heroes” of her program. We’re so grateful to have a community that continues that spirit of giving! 💛

We are so grateful to the businesses and nonprofits in our other 5 counties who make Dolly Parton's Imagination Library a success!
