Loved spending today celebrating students, scholarships, and community! 💙

I was honored to join the Kansas Hispanic Education Foundation as they recognized incredible high school students pursuing higher education and awarded scholarships to support their dreams. I also enjoyed attending the Wichita Global Fan Zone hosted by Empower, the City of Wichita, and the Kansas Department of Commerce.

For my final stop of the day, I had the honor of attending the AIM Convention at St. Mark Cathedral Church of God in Christ. I was humbled to be recognized and given the opportunity to speak about my journey through Miss Kansas’ Teen week. Throughout the entire week, I leaned on God for strength, guidance, and peace. It was a reminder that no accomplishment is possible without Him, and I am so grateful for His presence in every step of my journey. Being able to stand before the congregation and share part of my story was truly a blessing.

Thank you to St. Mark Cathedral COGIC and the AIM Convention for allowing me to encourage others through my testimony. I am grateful for every opportunity to share how God continues to work in my life, and I look forward to all that He has in store during my year as Miss Kansas’ Teen.

Just wrapped up my first news interview as Miss Kansas’ Teen with KWCH! I am so grateful that I had the chance to discuss my platform, and talk about the work I hope to accomplish throughout my year of service. Thank you to the team at KWCH for welcoming me! It was such an exciting experience, and I’m ready to continue using my voice to encourage hope, resilience, and mental health awareness throughout our state.

This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to continue sharing my journey as Miss Kansas’ Teen. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, I’m so excited for what’s ahead!

Hello, Kansas!

My name is Ta’Lyiah Lewis, and I am beyond honored to serve as your Miss Kansas’ Teen.

Throughout this year, I look forward to representing our incredible state, meeting people from all across Kansas, and using my platform to advocate for mental health awareness and su***de prevention. Mental health affects so many individuals and families, and I am passionate about encouraging open conversations, reducing stigma, and helping others know they are never alone.

The Miss America Opportunity has already taught me the importance of service, leadership, scholarship, and sisterhood, and I cannot wait to continue growing while making a positive impact in communities across our state.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. Your encouragement has helped make this dream a reality, and I am excited to share this year with all of you.

As I reflect on this year as Miss Kansas’ Teen, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for everything this journey has given me.
What started as a dream became a year filled with growth, purpose, unforgettable memories, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
