Miss Kansas week has been nothing short of amazing!

From creating lifetime memories, long rehearsals, and empowerment, I have had the best time ever.

I cannot wait to share my experiences on the Miss Kansas stage and share my experiences with language access and education! No matter what happens, I know I have represented every community and organization with pride! 🌻👸🏽

Hi friends! I’m wanting to reach my fundraising goal of $300 for the AHA ❤️ Every contribution, no matter the size, helps move this mission forward and brings us one step closer to real impact. I am so proud to be part of the Miss America program and to advocate for Women’s Health!

These donations all go towards scholarships for the Miss America programs and it helps continue to help young women to continue advocating for what they believe in! ❤️

Over the past two days, I have been busy with attending end-of-the-year award ceremonies recognizing students for all their hard work this year.

I am so happy to have been recognized by my department for Outstanding Service to the Department. I was honored to have been awarded this award!! As part of my service, I helped with events to recruit students to get them interested in pursuing language and talk about all the scholarships they can earn! This was also me using my CSI to promote ways in which language education is indispensable.

Yesterday’s ceremony was for the Center for Community Outreach, where I served as a coordinator for the university’s campus cupboard. Not only that, but I was a volunteer ESL tutor for students in the Lawrence school district and as a bilingual SNAP program volunteer.

All of these experiences allowed me to use my language skills to make a difference in my community and beyond the classroom!!! 🫶🏼
