Sierra Women's Service Club "Beginnings and Reason for Being" The women of the Moose established the Sierra Women's Service Club in 1958, when the men's Moose organization became extinct in our Foothill community. The primary purpose was to serve our foothill community by providing College Scholarships to Sierra High School graduating seniors, assistance to families who have experienced a disa

ster and giving monetarily to other foothill organizations as club finances allow. Through our monthly meetings, we foster a fellowship among the women of this area, along with providing programs of interest and light refreshments. Sierra Women's Service Club meet from 1:00pm - 3:00pm, the second Tuesday of each month, September through May, at Auberry Community Church, 33896 Powerhouse Rd., Auberry. Membership is open to anyone eighteen years or older, that are interested in providing the foothills with a richer, more fulfilling life for those who live and/or serve here.
