FAQs:
What is the money for? This event is being organized by the non-profit Friends of the Library from Prairie du Sac and Sauk City. Donations collected will go toward offsetting costs. After that, the funds will be equally divided between the two Friends groups, to support both libraries in kids programs, community outreach, and library activities.
I didn’t register ahead of time: You can register onsite! We’ll try to have plenty of extra materials, and we’d love to have you walk with us.
Dogs: While dogs are allowed on the Great Sauk Trail on leash, we ask that people consider that this will be a crowded event with people of all ages. Please bring your dogs walking on the path another time.
Bikes: The path will not be closed to the general public; we expect there will be people out biking. We cannot prohibit you from biking. You will miss some of the activities along the route; the idea is to walk and visit and connect with your community while having fun.
