The PdC Women’s Civic Club partnered with the Oktoberfest Committee and the PdC Lion’s Club to bring volunteer power to the lively, festive event. Every volunteer at Oktoberfest showed it is possible to work hard for the community And have a lots of fun!

The general meeting of the PdC Women’s Civic Club will be held 10/19/26 at Huckleberry’s Restaurant with a social hour at 5:30 pm and dinner served at 6:00 pm.
Meal choices are sweet chili pork, oven roasted red potatoes, baby carrots, and dinner roll, or soup and salad bar. Both meals are served with a pumpkin bar and coffee or milk.
The meal is $14.00 upon arrival.

There will be a collection for cash donations or gift cards to local businesses for Mike and Patti Bailey. All donations will be given directly to the Bailey’s for the immense rebuilding needed following their devastating house fire.
(Are you seeing this but aren’t a member and you would like to make a donation to the Bailey family? Just send us a message and we will easily sort out the details to share your kindness with the Bailey’s.)

The October meeting is the last day to turn in orders for the pecan sale. Proceeds go towards scholarships for graduating high school seniors at PdC High School and MFL/MarMac High School.
Orders can be place with a member or on this page until 2:00 pm Monday, Oct. 19.

Pie tins will be available for those baking for the fundraising event at the Hoffman Hall’s Fall Craft Show 11/14/16.

Robin Fisher will be our guest speaker.
She will talk about the 11/3/26 election from the perspective of voting and what to know for a seamless voting experience.
Did you know the State of Wisconsin deactivates voters if they have not voted in the past four years, or moved in that time frame and did not yet re-register? They do this to keep clean voter registry records.
Robin will let us know how simple it is to determine if we are a deactivated voter and how to easily reactivate our voter status.

The guest speaker at the September 28, 2026 meeting was Cheryl Statz. She is a passionate, driving force of River and Bluffs Animal Shelter’s TNR program.
TNR stands for ‘Trap, Neuter, Return’ of feral cats. Cheryl shared information on how she works with all aspects of the TNR program in our area. She is dedicated to making our community a better place for people and the animals around us.
Deb Wachter kicked off the annual pecan fundraising sale.
Sharon Paulus generously donated a beautiful fall wreath for a surprise door prize. Marlene Vogt was the happy recipient of the wreath.

The PdC Women’s Civic Club annual pecan fundraising sale is here!!
Proceeds from this event support scholarships for three qualifying area high school seniors.
The pecans will be harvested
mid-to-late October and sent to us by early November.

Meal choices are club wrap with a cup of turkey wild rice soup, or soup and salad bar. Both meals are served with apple crisp with whipped topping, and coffee or milk. The meal is $14.00 upon arrival.

The annual $20 membership fee is due upon arrival. Please pay for the meal and membership separately.
The pecan fundraising event will be kicked off during the meeting. Proceeds go towards scholarships for graduating high school seniors at PdC High School and MFL/MarMac High School.

Cheryl Statz with Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter will be our guest speaker. She will explain their TNR program for cats (trap, neuter, release).

Our annual membership meeting took place with great success, featuring outstanding food and drinks courtesy of The Barn Restaurant. Dessert consisted of delicious cheesecakes provided by one of our club members. The door prizes, beautifully arranged by Nelson's Ace Hardware Garden Center and club members, were a lovely touch. Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time.

Prairie du Chien Women’s Civic Club next meeting will be held at The Barn Restaurant. This will be our yearly membership drive meeting!

The plan is 5:30 social hour and 6:00 appetizer buffet.
Hot and cold items will be offered with the buffet.

We have delicious cheesecake planned for desert!

It will be held on Tuesday of next week, (not the usual Monday). The date will be Tuesday, May 19.
