A huge round of applause to our city staff for putting together a fantastic 75th Anniversary Party tonight at Meadowbrook Park! I didn’t get too many pictures but the drone show was fantastic!

Here’s to another great 75 years in Prairie Village!

I know there are still some spots available, but if you have any questions on the program please let me know.

Tonight I had a wonderful time dining with my mom at the new Flower Child restaurant in Prairie Village! All of the staff was super friendly, the food was delicious and the decor was really fun as well. I’ll definitely be back soon, maybe even as soon as Tuesday when they officially open to the public! Go check them out!

Proud to have attended our the first PV Pride event on Saturday with my family 🌈

Huge kudos to our Diversity Committee and everyone involved for creating such a welcoming, thoughtful, and joy-filled event for the community. It was great to see neighbors of all ages coming together to celebrate belonging, connection, and the kind of community we strive to be. Well done all around.

(We were also repping our Wards with our hands but forgot to tell Ian!)

🗑️ ATTN PRAIRIE VILLAGE RESIDENTS: Your trash bill could be changing.

The city's 10-year contract with Republic Services ends December 31, and the Prairie Village City Council will vote Monday night on how to handle what comes next.

Three options are on the table, including renewing with Republic, putting the contract out to bid or joining a regional trash pickup cooperative.

The Post wants to hear from readers about their experiences with Republic. Do they pick up reliably? Handle special pickups well? Any frustrations?

And what matters most to you in a trash contract — keeping costs down, recycling options, yard waste pickup, bulky item service or something else?

Drop your thoughts in the comments. 👇

We may reach out to you for further comments for our upcoming reporting.

Lots of great events coming up in Prairie Village! See you at Touch a Truck this week!
