This is absolutely horrible! Let’s keep all of those affected families and friends in our prayers. Reach out to a first responder and let them know they are appreciated and prayed for.

❗️MANHUNT ENDS, 2ND DEPUTY IS KILLED❗️No other way to describe it but heartbreaking. A second Christian County Sheriff's Office Deputy was killed early this morning, another CCSO Deputy was shot, and a Webster County, MO Deputy was also shot 4 times - all during a shootout that ultimately killed the suspect, Richard Dean Bird.

Military veteran Gabriel Ramirez (pictured) joined CCSO in July of 2025. He was killed during a traffic stop near Highlandville, MO Monday evening. Bird’s truck was later found abandoned south on US 160 near Reeds Springs, MO. No updates on the condition of the two deputies who were injured this morning. Names have not been released, either.
