If you have visited the Hindman Hall Museum recently, you may have noticed that one of our objects isn't in its usual spot. That’s because it has made its way to the state capitol building!

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock History Department has worked alongside capitol staff to create an exhibit celebrating iconic American symbols in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

Nathaniel Cole’s presentation sword and scabbard, along with two additional objects from the park’s collection, are on loan for the summer as part of this special exhibit.

If you are planning a trip to Little Rock this summer, we encourage you to stop by the capitol building to view the exhibit and see our objects as well as artifacts from across the state!
