This past few weeks have been an incredible time of learning and growing in our understanding of the Bible! We were able to celebrate in March as a community at our 3rd Annual Evening of Impact. This fundraiser brings in over 50% of our annual budget for the 2026-27 school year. Here is a recap of that amazing evening!

The students have been praying hard for Mrs. Carla these past few weeks! We have an update to share and it can only be described as multiple MIRACLES from the Father above working on Carla's behalf! Our prayers are being heard!

This week Mrs. Carla learned that the chemo she was taking for her stage 3 ovarian cancer was working & the cancer had shrunk back enough to open her intestines. She has started consuming liquids & jello as her body begins to wake up and resume a normal routine. All of the tubes have been removed from her nose and we can now see her beautiful face. Carla will continue her chemo treatment for the next few weeks as she continues to show progress. When she is able she'll then be heading to rehabilitation to help her relearn the things needed to get around so she can eventually go home and recover there with her family.

Mrs. Carla still has time she'll spend in recovery and although we miss her dearly at LifeWise, we know that she is being well cared for by her amazing husband and children who haven't left her side while she's been in the hospital. We are thanking the Father for how He has decided to answer our prayers & ask that you please continue to pray for Carla's recovery. We can't wait to have her back in the classroom to show the students a living miracle!

🎉🎉🎉This week we are celebrating the launch of our 1st High School LifeWise class for the students of PGHS 🎉🎉🎉 This class is for all 9th - 12th grade students. They are able to sign up for a weekly class on Fridays during their Advisory Period for the upcoming week.

🎉 Please help us welcome Stephen Fulton to our LifeWise Teaching Team as we launch our 1st High School classes!! 🎉

Stephen grew up in North East Arkansas and at the age of 13 his family made a transition and moved to Central America to be missionaries in Guatemala. Upon graduating high school he returned to Arkansas to attend Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. Stephen worked as a case manager for Families Inc. Counseling Agency in Northeast Arkansas upon graduation. He fell in love with and married a Prairie Grove native, Robin Dennis in 2008 and just a few days after the wedding, they moved to Southern California where Stephen attended seminary at Gateway Seminary for the next 2 years. After he graduated with a Masters in Theological Studies, they returned to NWA to start a family.

Over the past 15 years, Stephen has continued to work as God has led him in the areas of ministry and his passion & energy for teaching the Bible is contagious. This has led him to continue working with Love Beyond Borders AR, a non profit mission organization founded in 2015 by his parents, Gary & Susan Fulton, which continues to support churches in Guatemala by working with American churches to send mission teams to share the love of Jesus to Guatemalans during the summer months.

Stephen is humble to share his accomplishments but is always ready to share about his greatest joy & treasures, his wife Robin and their four beautiful children: Milena, Madeline, Moriah, and Elias.

Many of our LifeWise family, friends of Prairie Grove & Lincoln and communities know Carla Villines and her family. Carla is loved by so many and for the past 2 years she has faithfully served the students of Prairie Grove through the LifeWise program. She has always given her whole heart to every student that has come through the doors!

Today we ask you to join at this time as we lift up Mrs. Carla in prayer for healing. One week ago today, Carla went in the hospital for a laparoscopic procedure. What they found was devastating and the news was a cancer that had closed off her intestines. While Carla was under sedation she aspirated and left her with pneumonia to battle along with fluid left in her lungs. By Thursday evening, the decision was made to put Carla on life support to allow her body to rest and heal. As of today, the ICU team of doctors & nurses are working to wean her off the support so she can wake up and begin breathing on her own.

Carla's husband Jim and daughter Kylea have not left her side and a multitude of her family & friends have filled the waiting rooms and hallways. We ask our LifeWise community to rally together and begin praying for healing and for the cancer to stop growing. Carla needs a miracle and we serve a miracle working God!
