I was truly honored to visit the Nebraska State Capitol on June 2 and witness the Governor’s proclamation designating June 21–28 as Czech Heritage Week. I addition to the proclamation several other worthy causes received recognition as well. The governor spent time speaking to the importance of each cause and their importance for our great State.

Our Prague Czech Princess, Maura Fitzpatrick, has started festival season off strong attending both the Omaha and Lincoln festivals! We love seeing all the members of our court out representing!

Prague Czech Queen Christina Kavan attended the St. Wenceslas Brewfest in Milligan, NE, where she enjoyed a meal prepared by Lukas Ryva, Executive Chef at Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, D.C. and she danced with Republic County Mini Princess Onna Pospisil.

As Prague Czech Queen, I visited Prague Beer Barrel Days, Sunday, August 10.
I enjoyed breakfast served by the Prague VFD, stopped by the car show, enjoyed root beer floats and was interviewed live by the emcee.
In the afternoon I attended the Morse Bluff American Legion BBQ. I finished the afternoon dancing the chicken dance with my dad!

I had a wonderful time at Prague's 25th Czech Heritage Day last Saturday.
I sang the National Anthem, crowned our new royalty for 2025-26, danced with the Prague Czech Dancers, rode in the parade and danced to the Mark Vyhlidal band. I also enjoyed the Czech meal of pork, dumplings and sauerkraut, and met with visiting royalty. I want to give a huge shout out to the Adolph Nemec family on receiving the first Pioneer Heritage Award in his honor!
I was also recrowned and will serve as Prague Queen for 2025-26.
