The Heartland Center is dedicated to Avatar Meher Baba as an oasis of His remembrance.

It is a retreat for those wishing to visit the site of Meher Baba's 1952 automobile accident and the hospital room where He received treatment.

The Avatar Meher Baba Heartland Center is happy to share with you all that on Friday, August 14th, we signed an agreement with the City of Prague legally securing our private access to Baba’s hospital room and ensuring our right to purchase the original hospital when it is no longer in use.
Our board member and resident caretaker Jane Montgomery and Prague City Manager Jim Greff signed the agreement on August 14, 2026.
This has happened and other wonderful developments continue to happen because of Beloved Meher Baba’s Grace 💛

Since its inception, the Avatar Meher Baba Heartland Center has hoped to secure access to the hospital room where Meher Baba recovered from His 1952 accident in Oklahoma. This is a momentous day, as today we signed the agreement with the City of Prague that secures our access to Baba’s hospital room in perpetuity and grants us the option to purchase the original hospital when it is no longer in use.

The Avatar Meher Baba Heartland Center invites you to a very special 75th Anniversary Sahavas in May of 2027 to honor the sacrifices of Meher Baba and Mehera. It fills our hearts with happiness and deep gratitude to also share that we would be inaugurating the Meher Heartland Memorial and Baba's Hospital Room, the two sacred sites associated with Baba's momentous accident.

We’ve had a blessed gathering at the Meher Heartland Memorial: The Accident Site for the 101st Silence Day Anniversary 🙂🙏🏻💛
Clive and Cherri were fortune to spend the Silence Day with us at the Accident Site with our volunteers Sharla, Ben, Jane and the others.

The Avatar Meher Baba Heartland Center wishes you all a very Happy 101st Silence Day 🙏.

Today as we celebrate the 101st Anniversary of Meher Baba's Silence, the Heartland Center has organized an in-person gathering at the Meher Heartland Memorial: The site of Baba's 1952 accident in America.

The Meher Heartland Memorial is deeply quiet and peaceful with an indescribable feeling of comfort, being held in Baba's arms. We hope for more and more of you to experience this site in person in the near future.

Here is a beautiful Baba quote for the Silence Day:

"If you were to ask Me why I do not talk, I would say, mostly for three reasons. Firstly, I feel that through you all I am talking eternally. Secondly, to relieve the boredom of talking incessantly through your forms, I keep silence in My personal physical form. And thirdly, because all talk in itselfis idle talk. Lectures, messages, statements, discourses of any kind spiritual or otherwise, imparted through utterances or writing is just idle talk when not acted upon or lived up to."

The gazebo at the Meher Heartland Memorial has materialized! 😃
The jewel in the center of Mehera’s Garden is finally in its place. This is a momentous occasion and the Avatar Meher Baba Heartland Center would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Damien, Michael, Ron, Dana Price and Jane, our dedicated Baba-volunteers for their collective efforts for the Beloved.

The Meher Heartland Memorial is coming together beautifully 🌸

The Meher Heartland Memorial received an unexpected and a surprise gift in the form of this beautiful rug from Bulent Durmaz, a Baba Lover who happens to be a Turkish rug dealer.
This is an 80 - 100 year old carpet, made in Turkey, of Persian design gifted to be in the Original Garage and currently put in the temporary Welcome Center.

We were wishing for a beautiful rug.
Baba answered!

It’s starting to become so real. The foundation of the jewel(the gazebo) of the Meher Heartland Memorial, is finally in place 😃
