Plan to step back in time; the September meeting of PAHS will be held at 10:00 am on September 26th at the Dorshorst Farm Museum, located at W9378 Earnie Road in Poynette. Buildings at the museum include a general store from the 1900s, a blacksmith shop, and a barn/machine shed housing antique John Deere farm equipment. Buildings with amazing log-end flooring, and a lot more! The public is welcome to this free open house event.

The August meeting of the Poynette Area Historical Society will be held on August 24th at 6:00 pm at the Hillside Cemetery. (Please note the time change.)
Genealogical information about some of the people buried there will be presented. The cemetery is located at 151 S. East St. in Poynette.
This event is open to the public. If you have family members buried there, please come and tell us a little about them.

PAHS June 22nd meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the Poynette Village Hall. The topic is the USA 250th Birthday and Civil War DVD replay. Everyone is welcome to attend.

For the PAHS May meeting, we will be traveling to the Museum of Badger Army Am******on on Tuesday, May 19th.
"Learn about the origin of the plant and the farm community it displaced. Visualize the incredible transformation of the land as thousands of workers gathered here in 1942 to construct the Badger Ordnance Works–then touted as the largest in the world. Displays are dedicated to the plant’s products, how they were made and used during three wars, and the people who worked here."
The museum opens at 10 am.
