Hello All, we have gotten our Guns ready for the Cancel out Cancer Gun Raffle, we will be selling tickets up until the Building Hope Benefit, November 14th. The line up is awesome!! Check out the flyers and pictures available with all the information. We will also be selling them there if there is any left. We will be drawing the winners at approximately 4:30 pm. Winners do not need to be present to win. Once the winners are drawn, the guns can be picked up at Kobys Fi****ms by Montello. If you would like to purchase some tickets, please contact Deena Romack, Christina Breneman, Beth Parsons or Rena Pickarts and we can set something up. Rena can take venmo, paypal, cash app, and of course checks. So even if you can't make the event and want some tickets, we can do it over the phone if needed. The tickets are $20 a ticket, and please make sure you read the options of board 1 or board 2 as we will put your choice in the according drawing.

We had our first event as an organization and did the general raffle, card raffles, and silent auction items at the Dump Run in Cambria this year. We had many amazing items donated for this event. We want to thank everyone who donated, who showed up and bought tickets, cards, cheesecake, koozies, bid in the silent auctions, etc. We were able to raise approximately $5500, for our first event we are very happy with the results and a great start to getting out feet on the ground. Thank you very much to Jack and Melissa Jones/ owner of the Dump Bar in Cambria, for having our organization represent the raffle portion of the event.

Our next event is in November at the Building Hope Benefit in Poynette, on the 14th. This event will always be the second Saturday of November every year. we will be having a general raffle, gun raffle, cork pull, Santa handing out small bags to children/photographer . We will be looking for and excepting donations for this event as well. Asking yourself, what you can donate...... we need bottles of any type of alchohol, cases of b**r, etc for the cork pull. we need raffle items/baskets. we need smaller items to be given out as gifts to the children that attend. We are also giving out one general raffle ticket for a non perishable item donated for local food pantries, up to 10.

Hello everyone, this is Rena sending out this message. This is the event we have planned for November 14th, 2026. This one is in replacement of Rena's Craft Fair Cancer Benefit that I use to have in my home, here in Poynette. It was getting so big at my home which made it difficult for people to walk around. I have decided to start this adventure with the help of some pretty amazing ladies. We have partnered with the Poynette Park & Rec and Our goal is to help as many cancer patients as we are able to in Columbia County. I (Rena) know firsthand how hard it is to manage around an illness so devastating, learning to navigate the new normal, figuring out how to manage the small things and how to get them done on a minimal budget. People think when we are helping someone who has cancer that its all about the Dr bill, well its not! There are so many layers, it affects everyone in that person's circle. With the benefits I have had in the past, to help cover some of my costs of living with cancer, I have felt the care, the support, the love, the prayers and I truly want to pass this forward. I will be set up also at this event to raise money for myself as well, but there will be more vendors that have the same struggles, and some that are supporting someone with cancer. The Cancel Out Cancer of Columbia County is also a new organization and will be one of the primary vendors at this event, the money made for this organization will be put into a bank, and when the applications start for help/assistance the board will go over them and get to them on an individual bases. We want to help people where they are at, so maybe they have good health insurance but cant get the lawn mowed- let us know what you need and we are putting together a system that we are hoping will accomodate people's needs. We Will be setting up as the non-profit organization at "The Dump Run" in Cambria this year!! We are looking forward to our first year there! We want to Thank Jack in advance for his support and giving us this opportunity. We have participated in the dump run and its fund rasing benefits for many years, it is has always been such a fun day, if you have never been- try it, and if you have been there- then you know! We hope to see you all there!!
