Our sincerest apologies to anyone who is not a fan of snakes, but have a go at this cutie!

This is a DeKay's Brown Snake. A completely harmless nocturnal species which reaches lengths up to 13 inches fully grown. This is just a baby, barely 5 inches if that.

He decided to hang around on the leaves by the back door, so we said hello. 😊

After a long 7½ weeks, Ms. Molly is free from her bandage, and the unsavable piece of her left wing aswell. As we removed her wrap last night, the entire tip of her wing cane off on its own. Her shoulder sits better now, she's far more happy, and she's been cheerfully preening her now free wing. Molly is now a permanent resident here at the station. 😊 🐦

We got this little guy in not very long ago. Unfortunately, he didn't make it past the warming process. We believe it could have been thermal shock, as young mice can't produce their own body heat. He wasn't looking good upon arrival.

We're very sorry to Mr. Logan who brought him in. πŸ˜•

A couple of update photos for you folks.

Our baby pigeons are growing like no tomorrow! Have a look at those lovely feathers!

And Ms. Molly is in her overwintering cage(yes, she's already made a mess!). She's, unfortunately, still going to lose the tip of her wing despite our best efforts, but that's ok. She'll spend the winter in my room, then be moved to her permanent cage in the living room in spring. She's thoroughly enjoying her new feeder courtesy of Ms. Brianne, who donated it, and we hope Ms. Michaela, will be happy seeing how well she's doing. 😊

On Friday, myself and Jason, were invited to the Bondville Fair by our dear friend and partner, Karen E. Rose. We haven't been to a fair in a solid 24 years, so this was an absolute treat!

Not only did we have a thoroughly enjoyable time, we entered some artwork in for fun sake, and was alerted today that we had actually won ribbons! First time ever!

Thank you so much Karen, that was beyond fun, we're actually looking forward to next year! πŸŽ‰ 🎊

These two adorable popcorn balls were brought in moments ago by Amber from shaftsbury. They're 4+ weeks old and already on food and water. We'll keep them until they're big enough to hop on out to the wild. Thank you for your kindness Amber! ❀️ 🐁

So sorry for posting these late folks, we've been super right out strait here.

A huge thank you to Karen E. Rose and an anonymous individual for their gracious donation of much-needed bird feed we received a few days ago, as well as the generous drop-off donation of bird seed today from Ms. Michaela!

Thank you all so very much!

If you too would like to donate, please feel free to pop over to our wishlist pinned at the top of our page. 😊
