⛳️🏌️‍♂️ WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY ON THE COURSE! 🦁💛

The Powhatan Lions Club's 29th Annual Charity Golf Tournament was a GREAT SUCCESS, and we couldn't have asked for better weather or a better group of people to spend the day with! ☀️⛳️

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our amazing sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and enthusiastic golfers who helped make this year's tournament such a success!

👏 To our sponsors: Your generosity and continued support make events like this possible.

💪 To our volunteers: Your hard work, time, and dedication kept everything running smoothly!

🏌️ To our golfers: Thank you for coming out, enjoying the beautiful weather, and supporting a great cause!

Most importantly, every swing, every sponsorship, and every helping hand contributes to our mission of serving others and making a difference in our community. 💛

From all of us at the Powhatan Lions Club, THANK YOU for making our 29th year one to remember!

If you thought the golf was going to be hot… wait until you taste the chili! 🔥

The WINNER of the Powhatan Lions Club Chili Cook-Off, Deb Seay, will be firing up a batch of her now-famous, award-winning chili for everyone at the 29th Annual Powhatan Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament! 🏆🌶️

That’s right—the chili that took home the title is making an encore appearance! So come hungry, because our golfers and volunteers are in for a treat.

⛳🦁 ANOTHER ROUND OF THANKS FOR SOME INCREDIBLE COMMUNITY PARTNERS! 🦁⛳

The countdown is on for the Powhatan Lions Club’s 29th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, and we couldn’t make this event happen without the businesses that step up to support our mission.
Today, we’re proud to recognize and thank:

🔨 R.C. Goodwyn & Sons, Inc.
🏗️ Ridout Construction
⚡ JL Minter
🔥❄️ Daniel’s Heating and Refrigeration Corp.
🏦 C&F Bank

Each of these businesses serves our community in a different way—and each has chosen to give back by supporting the Powhatan Lions. That partnership matters!

Their sponsorship helps turn a day of golf into something much bigger: support for vision care, youth programs, neighbors in need, and local service projects throughout our community.

A huge THANK YOU to:

⭐ Gordon, Dodson, Gordon & Rowlett

LIONS CLUB CHEAT SHEET — WORTH A SAVE!

We’re sharing this great Robert’s Rules of Order cheat sheet from one of our fellow Lions Clubs. Whether you’re a longtime Lion or brand new to club meetings, this is a handy little guide to keep nearby!

Motions, seconds, amendments, voting, points of order… sometimes it can feel like Robert wrote a lot of rules just to get us to agree on where to eat. 😂
But good meeting procedures help us stay organized, hear everyone’s voice, make decisions, and get back to what Lions do best — SERVE!

📌 Save it. Share it. Screenshot it. You never know when you’ll need to know exactly how to make that motion!

💙💛 We Serve — and apparently, we do it in proper parliamentary order!

🦁 BE A LUNCH BUDDY. MAKE A DIFFERENCE. 🧡

The Powhatan Lions Club is proud to support Powhatan County Public Schools’ Lunch Buddies Mentoring Program—a simple way for caring adults in our community to make a meaningful difference in the life of a student.

Sometimes, a little encouragement and a friendly face at the lunch table can go a long way. Lunch Buddies help:

✨ Build self-esteem
✨ Improve attitudes about school
✨ Provide a positive adult role model
✨ Support PCPS students

You don’t have to be a teacher or counselor to make an impact. You just need a willingness to show up, listen, encourage, and be a positive presence.

Mentor today. Make a difference tomorrow.

⛳️😂 YOUR GOLF GAME MAY BE QUESTIONABLE… BUT YOUR DECISION TO PLAY SHOULDN’T BE! 🦁

Slice it. Hook it. Shank it. Lose a few balls in places you swear there shouldn’t even be water. 🤷‍♀️🏌️

We don’t judge. We’re Lions. We Serve. 😎

👂💙 LISTEN UP! Powhatan Lions are getting ready to serve!

Members of the Powhatan Lions Club have been attending specialized training to volunteer with the Lions District 24-L “Listen Up!” initiative, a program focused on providing FREE hearing screenings for children ages 2–5 and helping identify potential hearing loss earlier.

Early detection can make a tremendous difference in a child’s speech, language, learning, and development. We’re proud to have Powhatan Lions preparing to be part of the teams bringing this important service to Virginia’s youngest children. 👧👦👂

"We Serve!" Sometimes serving starts by simply helping a child hear. 💙🦁
