An Exciting Announcement - NARO East

NARO Ohio has merged into a new Chapter of NARO National, National Association of Royalty Owners with several other states in the Appalachian Basin to form NARO East.

NARO East serves members in Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina. By uniting, we address the evolving challenges in our industry—such as consolidation among operators, complex regulatory changes, and the need for stronger advocacy—while building on the successes of our individual chapters. This new structure allows us to share knowledge, expand educational programming, enhance legislative efforts, and host impactful events, all while maintaining a strong focus on state-specific issues.

Please continue to support and follow NARO East as we work together on behalf of oil and gas mineral owners.

A Stronger Voice for Eastern Members:

NARO East Merger Approved

As we look toward the future of our organization, I'm excited to share that an important milestone has been reached in strengthening our ability to serve mineral and royalty owners across the eastern United States.

The approved NARO East chapter will serve members across the Appalachian Basin under unified leadership, while maintaining the state and local focus that ensures our voices are heard on local matters. This merger ensures that members in the Appalachia Region will continue to receive active board representation and educational programming. This stronger representation will prove invaluable as we advocate for policies that protect mineral owners' rights at both the state and federal levels.

The future of mineral rights advocacy in the eastern United States depends on having strong, active representation. With the NARO East merger now approved, we have the foundation to ensure that representation remains robust and effective for years to come.

Dear NARO Ohio Leadership Team,

I hope you are all doing well. On behalf of Utica Shale Academy, I want to thank you again for your continued partnership and support. Your commitment to workforce development and to the young people of our region has made a meaningful impact on our students and our school.

I am reaching out today with a special request that directly supports our students during the holiday season. Each year, we run a Holiday Wishes Program to ensure that every student who is truly in need is able to receive basic essentials and a small gift for Christmas. Many of our students face significant hardships, and this program helps make the season a little brighter and gives them something to look forward to.

This year, we are seeking sponsors who would be willing to support one or more students. The average cost to fully sponsor a student is approximately $150, which covers clothing items, personal essentials, and a modest holiday gift.

Given NARO Ohio’s mission and your strong relationship with our Academy, we wanted to ask whether your organization might be willing to sponsor a student—or multiple students—this Christmas season. We are happy to provide documentation on school letterhead for tax purposes, as well as any additional information you may need.
