Good Friday is the day Jesus was crucified, an event filled with pain, injustice, and sorrow. At first glance, nothing about it seems “good.” But the goodness of Good Friday isn’t found in the suffering itself. It’s found in what that suffering accomplished.

🌑 Good Friday shows the depth of our brokenness.
The cross reminds us that sin is serious. It separates, destroys, and carries a cost we could never pay on our own.

❤️ Good Friday shows the depth of God’s love.
Jesus willingly took our place. He wasn’t forced. He chose the cross out of love. Scripture says, “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

🕊️Good Friday is good because it leads to resurrection.
The story doesn’t end on Friday. The darkness of the cross sets the stage for the light of Easter morning. Death is defeated. Hope is restored. Salvation is offered freely.

🙌 Good Friday is good because it changes our eternity.
Through Jesus’ sacrifice, we are forgiven, redeemed, and welcomed into God’s family. What was the worst day in history became the doorway to the greatest gift.

Easter Blessings to you and thank you for your partnership with us.

Meet Timothy Our CEF State Intern

Timothy’s journey with Child Evangelism Fellowship began long before he ever stepped into leadership. At just five years old, he trusted in Jesus as his Savior after his parents shared the Wordless Book with him. From that moment on, God began shaping a heart eager to serve.

He grew up attending Good News Clubs® and 5‑Day Clubs®, soaking in God’s Word and watching faithful volunteers share the Gospel with children. As soon as he was old enough, Timothy joined Christian Youth In Action® first as a student missionary, and now, this year, as our CEF of Wyoming State Intern.

Timothy brings creativity, and a genuine love for kids to every part of the ministry.

A note from Timothy:

Hi, my name is Timothy Hosein and I will be interning this year for the CEF of Wyoming with CYIA. As a child I grew up around the ministry of CYIA and always being around teens and growing up watching my parents help serve and work for the ministry. As a child I always looked forward to being old enough to be able to do CYIA. And now that I have been doing CYIA for 5 years, as I am heading into this summer I am excited to be taking a different role and impacting and serving the ministry in a different way.

Prayer requests:
That many kids would be reached with the gospel.
That I am able to build strong relationships with the teens that come and participate in CYIA this summer
Clarity and patience for what God has in store for my future as I look into opportunities.

Meet Jeremiah Swinborne. As a child, he attended 5‑Day Clubs where the gospel took root in his life. Six years ago, he stepped into Christian Youth In Action, growing in confidence and leadership as he learned to share his faith with others. Today, he’s attending Bible school and continuing to pursue God’s call on his life.

This summer, Jeremiah returns as an intern with the Northwest Chapter helping train students, teaching children, and leading more than twenty‑three 5‑Day Clubs already on the schedule.

His story is another reminder of how your partnership in children can grow into lifelong ministry.

Meet Ben Watts, another CYIA Student coming on staff.

My name is Ben Watts. I grew up in Casper and attended the University of Wyoming. During that time, I was blessed with opportunities to be involved in several ministries, including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus Ventures, the Navigators, and Child Evangelism Fellowship.

After completing college, I felt God calling me to join the staff of Child Evangelism Fellowship as a Ministry Coordinator, where I help organize, coordinate, and support CEF ministries. Serving God in every opportunity has been the most meaningful, fulfilling, and useful experience of my life.

Prayer Requests:
Pray that God would provide all my needs to work with CEF full-time.
Pray that God would grow our children's ministries and create new opportunities to serve our community and students.
Pray that God would build a great team of teenagers this summer for CYIA, bringing in every student that needs to be here.

Ben will be on staff with the central chapter.

The ministry of CEF continues to reach children with the gospel and our mission doesn’t stop there. We’re committed to mentoring and discipling them as they grow. Eli is a wonderful example of that long-term impact. He first came to a 5‑Day Club as a child, later joined Christian Youth In Action as a teen, and has now stepped into full-time ministry as a staff member with the Northwest Chapter. His journey shows what can happen when seeds planted early are nurtured with care and purpose.

A Note From Eli:
I grew up in Lander in a christian home, and came to faith at a young age. I joined Christian Youth In Action in 2022, and found a love for teaching children the good news about Jesus. The LORD has placed on my heart a burden to reach the children of Wyoming and I am so excited to work with CEF to do so.

Prayer Requests:
For God to bring lots of kids to hear the message
For God to provide funds for the ministry
For God to provide good teachers and servant leaders

We were elated to have the Child Evangelism Fellowship group join us for our Sunday morning service last weekend. What a full church and hearts!

The State Director of CEF gave a terrific presentation. Check out CEF Wyoming and learn how you can support their ministry in reaching children with the gospel.
