Score big with NWC in our third decade: 1966-1975. During this decade, the Northwest Community College Trappers solidified their identity in regional junior college athletics. Today, NWC teams compete in men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, men’s and women’s rodeo, and Esports (co-ed).

If you see someone you know, tag them! Or add a comment to share the story behind the photo. Happy Birthday, NWC!

Join us today from 4:00 - 6:00 pm to see the completed Orendorff renovations and celebrate 80 years of Northwest College!

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13, from 4 to 6 PM to celebrate our 80th anniversary at the Orendorff Building Open House. While you enjoy free refreshments and giveaways, our Student Ambassadors will guide you through the newly modernized building, a campus landmark that was among the first permanent structures on campus. As part of the celebration, a collection of college photos taken by Herb and Pat Wolsborn in the mid-50s will also be on display in Hinckley Library. We look forward to celebrating with you!

We're back with the second decade of Northwest College (1956-1965). During this decade the campus we know and love experienced rapid expansion. In 1960, voters approved a bond to fund the first major campus building campaign which resulted in a new liberal arts building (now Nelson Performing Arts), library, and Colter Hall dormitory which at the time, included a cafeteria.

If you know the story behind any of these photos, please share it in the comments. Then check back next week for our trip back to 1966-1975. Happy Birthday, NWC!
