Special Needs at Burnt Hickory Our aim is to provide a welcoming and nurturing environment where individuals and families affected by disabilities feel valued, supported, and enabled.

The special needs ministry at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church is dedicated to inclusivity and compassion within the body of Christ, as outlined in 1 Corinthians 12:12–31. We endeavor to create adaptive environments to ensure that all individuals may fully participate in the life of the church. Beyond mere inclusion, our ministry is driven by a desire to facilitate genuine encounters with Jesus Christ

, His boundless love, and His purpose for every person, regardless of their abilities. By embracing and empowering those with disabilities, we can enrich our community and fulfill our calling to live out the mission of Christ together.

🎄✨ Our adults with special needs friends and families went full Charlie Brown last night - wearing Christmas shirts, singing carols, watching the classic, and enjoying some “Charlie Brown Christmas” themed fun. We played, laughed, and most importantly, celebrated the birth of Jesus together. Turns out, the best gift isn't under a tree - it's the people around it. ❤️

The entire church was full of Christmas wonder today, and both of the Special Needs at Burnt Hickory classes added some extra flair to the ornament trees in the upstairs childhood lobby during second service ❤️🌲✨
