🎨 Tapp Students, Your Voice Matters! 🎶

The PTA Reflections deadline has been extended to October 19, 2026! There’s still time to share your talents and explore the theme: “What My Culture Means to Me.”

Express yourself through dance, film, writing, music composition, photography, or visual arts. Your family traditions, language, community, and experiences can inspire your entry!

All students are encouraged to participate. You don’t have to be an expert—you just need a story to share and the courage to create.

Let’s get creative, Tapp! Turn in your entry by October 19. 💙💛

PTSA stands for Parent Teacher Student Association. It brings together families, teachers, school staff, students, and community members with one shared goal: helping every child succeed.

What Does PTSA Do?

PTSA helps strengthen our entire school community by:

- Supporting student programs, activities, and celebrations
- Recognizing and supporting teachers and staff
- Organizing family-engagement events
- Providing additional resources and opportunities for students
- Building partnerships with businesses and community organizations
- Encouraging families to become involved in their children’s education
- Advocating for the education, health, safety, and well-being of all children

What Does Membership Mean?

Being a PTSA member does not mean you have to attend every meeting, volunteer at every event, or serve on the board.

Membership simply means you believe in supporting our students, families, educators, and school community.

Parents, grandparents, teachers, staff members, relatives, neighbors, former families, businesses, and community supporters can all join!

Why Join?

There is no PTSA without members!

Every membership strengthens our PTSA and gives us a stronger collective voice for our children. Participate as much—or as little—as your schedule allows.

Every member matters. Every voice matters. Every child matters.

Membership Is Only $11!

Of the $11 membership fee, $4.90 comes back to support Tapp Middle School PTSA. The remaining portion covers membership and processing fees, including fees that go to National PTA.

You do not have to be a parent to support our students. Everyone is invited to join!

Tapp MS PTSA won the Model PTA award as well as had the Early Bird Membership and Oak Tree Award. Our very own Laura David Shyman won the Outstanding Educator award for 9th District, Georgia PTA.

It's Volunteer Appreciation Week and National PTA is proud to celebrate all of the passionate volunteers who we love to PTA with! PTA volunteers are the engines moving the PTA mission forward by generously sharing your time, talents, resources and expertise. We thank you for all you do on behalf of the PTA mission each day. We are so excited that our 3rd Annual Rhythm & Code STEAM Festival is coming up on May 2nd and our theme is Pixel Playground!
Our Band, Orchestra, Theater, & Chorus programs will be performing throughout the day, plus we will have some pretty cool STEAM activities to enjoy. There will be vendors, resource tables, and more!

This is a community event, and we are looking forward to Powder Springs showing up and showing out—so we'd love for our Tapp family to do the same to support our students, school as a whole, and our community.
