Care to share Vand Chhako Our Mission is to help families in our Community. The term "Vand Chhako" is a Punjabi term meaning share what you have and consume it together.

Our goal is to help families with young children , even if its just for 4 to 6 of them a month. FOUNDED IN MEMORY OF MY BEAUTIFUL

My name is Gia Kerney and I am a high schooler in San Diego. My nani (grandmother) was always focused on doing good for others. For this reason, I decided to start a small organization in her memory to honor and continue doing seva (service) in her name. Based in Poway, Vand Chhako is a small food donation establishment that offers a large bag filled with snacks for families with children in need of the extra resources, every 2nd of the month. The San Diego community has given so much to me, it is time I give back to them as well. If this sounds like something that would benefit you or someone you know, please send a message to us and we will reserve a bag with stuff similar to the pictures attached below. We will have a food drive today again, December 26th, in Poway. Please spread the word if anyone is in need. Taking place at the San Diego Sikh Gurudwara again from 1-3 PM. Please keep in mind that this is a drive-thru contactless food pantry drive. The exact address 12269 Oak Knoll Road, Poway, CA 92064. For more information, contact Gagandeep Kaur at 858-405-9528.
