Tuesday, May 26 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: NEW! Ballet Class with Ms. Jessica: Drop in fee of $20/class per person, scholarships available!

Join Patti Panebianco to learn ballroom dance from swing to fox trot. Classes start on Mondays at 5PM and Wednesdays at 5:30PM.

Thursday, May 28 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Move with Diane: Essentrics Stretch and Strength; bring a mat and water. The cost is $10.

Saturday and Sunday, May 30 /31, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Art Gallery Show: The Artists Member Show.

SAVE THE DATE!

The 5th Annual Stone Valley Arts Lit Fest, celebrating the written word, will be held on Saturday, August 15 at 145 East Main Street, Poultney, VT.

Bianca Amira Zanella, aka The Paper Poet, will lead a poetry workshop.
Fiction writer and playwright Herb Childress will also lead a workshop.
Details on workshops and registration to follow soon, but for now mark Saturday, August 15 on your calendar for SVA Lit Fest, a full day of generative workshops for writers in all genres!

Open Mic will be Friday, May 22 at 7:00 at Stone Valley Arts at Fox Hill.
We survived the "cruelest month" now let's see/hear what May has to offer.
Come and share your words: poems, stories, fiction, songs, and confessional memoir - your deepest, darkest secrets - if you dare! Just kidding, or not?
Audience is always welcome and much appreciated - bring a friend!

Your care, sacrifices, and endless support make the world brighter every day. Wishing you a day filled with joy, appreciation, laughter, and all the love you deserve.
Our gallery is open tomorrow, Sun 5/10, from 1-4 pm. Free entry and all artwork is for sale.

Two new classes starting in May at SVA!

1. WOODSPRYTE ARTS is all about play-based creative learning experiences for very young children. With over four decades of work in Early Childhood Education, I have developed an approach that integrates literacy, the arts, STEM themes, cooking & nutrition, and more to give kids hands-on, meaningful and joyful engagement with the world around them. Classes are geared toward children aged 2-8.
$25 per child advance sign-up, $30 drop-in.

Tuesday, May 5th: Welcome, Birds of Spring! A celebration of the bird life all around us this time of year. Our young artists will read and sing and fly, then create bird and feather collages with glue and paint.

Tuesday, May 19th: It’s Garden Time! Calling all young gardeners for stories about growing things, decorating plant pots, and potting up something to grow at home. We’ll also do some little work in our little SVA WoodSpryte Garden to get it ready for planting.

2. BALLET with Jessica Batten: This ballet class is designed as a welcoming space for dancers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Each person will be met with encouragement, respect, and a sense of belonging. My teaching style blends the structure and discipline of classical ballet with an emphasis on joy, curiosity, and personal expression. Students will be guided through foundational technique while also being invited to explore their own artistry and musicality.

Everyone is welcome and this class will be a fun and supportive space; together, we will develop technical skills, flexibility, and strength. Come as you are, move at your own pace, and experience ballet not only as an art form, but as a gift of movement to yourself.
Let's dance!

Cost: Drop in fee of $20/class per person
When: Tuesday, May 26 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM and Tuesday, June 9 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
