North Sound Connects (NSCX) hosted our first skate clinic “Hop on Board”!! This beginner oriented class is held under the covered picnic area at Raab Park (rain or shine). All made possible by our friends Poulsbo Parks and Recreation !! The next offering is on Saturday, April 25th from 10am-12pm. See future offerings and sign up through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation!!

Announcements!! 1st up: PSAC is now North Sound Connects (NSCX)!

Why would we change our name?
Our original goal was to rebuild the deteriorating Raab park skatepark with a more functional design. With help from , the city, community organizations and YOU, WE DID THAT. We are thrilled with the park and seeing it used by so many.

But we’re not done! The band is staying together, growing and setting our sights on new goals. We have so much to share with you as we move forward.

2nd, we are looking forward to skate camps starting up next month! Registration is open TODAY through for an introductory skate camp for total beginners—more advanced camps will be added in the summer. See the parks and rec catalogue and get signed up!

We stopped by Raab Skatepark for a session on Sunday and counted EIGHTEEN other skaters! We’re so happy you are all enjoying it. See you up there!

A couple of our coalition members got to check out last weekend and had the best time watching these girls absolutely RIP on the street course, in the bowl and on the vert ramp. Exposure is an incredible organization that has truly made women’s skateboarding what it is (a sport that stands on its own) and we were so lucky to witness the impact firsthand. We were giddy to meet (in order of appearance) , , and , to name a few! From ages 6 to 30 and beyond these babes were so awe inspiring to watch! Highly recommend following this org and attending the event.

I had the privilege of sharing with the Raab rebuild journey and what our plans are for the future. Such an amazing group of people dedicated to our community!!
