These girls have spent the last three weeks putting in the work, practicing six days a week through rain, shine, heat, and everything in between. Their dedication, effort, and commitment have been incredible to watch.

We’re now in the home stretch with just two practices remaining before Game Day. The hard work has been done, the preparation is nearly complete, and these girls are ready to represent the Town of Poughkeepsie with pride.

We couldn’t be more proud of this group. Let’s finish strong and get ready to compete!

Our Lady of Lourdes Minors defeated Philipstown for the Blue Bracket Championship, 6-1.
What an incredible season! The girls grew so much, supported each other, worked hard, and most importantly had fun. They left it all out on the field and ended the post season perfectly. We are so proud of this group of girls!

Today, an incredible team from the Hudson Valley Renegades and Heritage Financial Credit Union spent hours edging, dragging, digging, and transforming Field J2 through their Community Field Betterment Program!

Their hard work, generosity, and commitment to youth sports made an immediate impact. Thanks to their efforts, our players will enjoy a safer, more beautiful field that will create lasting memories for years to come. Investments like these go far beyond the field—they strengthen our community, support our young athletes, and show them that they are valued.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and dedicated their time and energy to improving opportunities for local children. Thank you for helping make Field J2 a place where players can learn, grow, compete, and have fun. Your hard work will benefit our athletes for many seasons to come!

We are incredibly grateful to the Hudson Valley Renegades and Heritage Financial Credit Union for their commitment to youth sports and for recognizing the importance of providing quality facilities for our girls to learn, grow, and compete.

🏆 INAUGURAL DISTRICT 17 LITTLE LEAGUE SOFTBALL REGULAR SEASON MINORS CHAMPIONS 🏆

Last night, Hometown Apparel and Embroidery Minors hosted Central Hudson Minors in front of an incredible crowd as two teams full of Poughkeepsie girls battled until the very last out.

Central Hudson fought hard and never quit, pushing the game deep into the final inning. In the end, Hometown Apparel earned an 8-4 victory, officially becoming the first-ever District 17 Little League Minors Regular Season Champions!

The coaches and staff from Hometown could not be more proud of every player from both squads. At the end of the day, this wasn’t just about one team—it was about Poughkeepsie. Having both local teams represent in the final game of the season is something our entire community should be proud of.

Hometown finished the regular season with a record of 12-3-1 and showed tremendous growth down the stretch, going 10-1 over their final 11 games.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and families who helped make this season such a special one. The future of Poughkeepsie softball is bright! 🥎🏆

What a Season for Central Hudson Minors!

While the playoff championship game didn’t end the way we hoped, falling 8-4, this team has absolutely nothing to hang their heads about.

The 2026 season comes to a close with an incredible record of 8-4-3, and these girls gave us countless memories, smiles, and reasons to cheer all season long.

📊 Season Highlights:
⚾ Team batting average: .440
⚾ 118 hits
⚾ 3 home runs
⚾ 248 stolen bases
⚾ Pitchers faced 386 batters
⚾ Allowed just 84 hits
⚾ Recorded 109 strikeouts
🩼 1 broken ankle (because no great season story is complete without a little adversity!)

These numbers tell part of the story, but they don’t capture the heart, determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship these players showed every time they stepped on the field.

To our players: thank you for your effort, dedication, and love for the game. To the parents, and families: thank you for your endless support throughout the season. You made this season one for the record books.

This team represented Poughkeepsie with pride and proved that success is measured by much more than wins and losses. The future is bright for this talented group of young athletes!

🚨 CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND! 🚨

Cen Hud Minors punched their ticket to the Championship Game with a dominant 19-4 victory over Pine Plains Minors 2!

Addie R. earned the win, striking out 5 batters over 3 innings, while Aubrey T. slammed the door in relief with 2 scoreless innings and 3 strikeouts!

Aubrey T. launched a solo home run to spark the offense, while Savannah L. stayed perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 to lead the team in hits. Olivia, Maggie, Evelyn, Alexis, and Elièse each drove in TWO runs as the bats stayed hot all game long.

The defense was just as impressive. The entire infield was locked in, making multiple outstanding plays and keeping Pine Plains runners from gaining momentum.

Beyond the wins and the stats, this season has been an incredible journey for our players, coaches, and families. These girls have worked hard, supported one another, and represented Poughkeepsie with pride every step of the way.

We couldn’t be more proud or honored to coach this amazing group of athletes. One more game to go… LET’S GO CEN HUD!

What a Saturday for Our Lady of Lourdes Minors! The girls battled hard against Red Hook and came away with a huge victory, punching their ticket to the Championship Game on Tuesday! 💙🔥

Reagan Leone led the offense with 2 hits and 2 RBIs, coming through in big moments to help power the team to victory! 💪🥎

Issabella Nesheiwat also delivered a beautiful hit to left field, keeping the offense rolling and helping the team build momentum throughout the game!
