Coming here this morning since clearly there are two unstable and insecure women in Rescue, surprise, surprise, wanting to drum up some drama, and I for one, will not tolerate it! Clearly people need to go back to first and second grade and learn how to read English, before making such ridiculous accusations… Not that I owe ANYONE, ANYTHING, but here is the email that was sent to Donna, whose email was on the post… I know that our hard-core supporters are amazing people and would not think that we would be collecting donations for dogs that are not even with our Rescue, so I'm not too worried, but I absolutely refuse to engage with stupid, uneducated, ignorant, and hateful, lonely women in rescue! This is the last that I will be posting about this particular bunch of GSD's, if anybody has any questions, feel free to message us, as we'll try to get back with you, within a timely manner as, ya know, we're busy out here, saving more GSD's, not engaging in ridiculous content!

Now, moving onto the next item on our to-do list, we are still short, $175 per our paperwork, for New York State, so I am once again, putting up our platforms, as we can absolutely not move forward with rescuing any more dogs until this gets taken care of… As I said yesterday, I understand it's not crazy glamorous, as saving dogs, but this is absolutely essential for us to get our license! Our platforms are below, we've raised tens of thousands of dollars in the last decade plus, that we have had our 501(c)(3), so I know that we absolutely can raise this amount of money. So please help us so that we can move forward!

Lastly, wanted to share a couple pictures for you....Avala is with Matt right now and he will continue to evaluate her and see where she goes from here!! Fingers crossed!!!

Good afternoon everyone!! So I'm posting for a few reasons....we're thrilled to tell everyone that our amazing foster Linda, drove all the way from TX to NC to bring Avala to K9 Responder Academy to have her evaluated to be a SD for a veteran/first responder!! We couldn't be happier that she's with Matt and Amanda N Chip Fifield now!! Thank you so much to Linda for making that difficult treck and mostly for fostering and loving Avala so much!!! We love our fosters!! We will be sure to keep everyone updated on her evaluation! We are so happy that we could collaborate with such an amazing organization! So far we've donated 3 dogs to them and 2 right now have been placed with their handlers!!! This organization is something very near and dear to us so we couldn't be happier! Stay tuned for updates!!

Secondly, we need donations guys....we cannot move forward with rescuing dogs if we can't get that charity's bureau number....of course NY state charges for everything but we've got to get this $ to live forward in getting our license....we only received ONE $2 donation on $2 TUESDAY so we're coming here now hoping we can meet the $200+ expense...so seeing how it's FRIDAY, we're doing a $5 FRIDAY FUNDRAISER! Our platforms are below....we have been very careful not asking for donations if we don't need them, and we haven't asked in a while...so we're praying we meet our goal today....pls help us.

😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 I have written out this post 3x now and it won't post!!! Hoping this one will!!! Sooo as you all know we have Avala....she is still in TX with our foster and we've been trying to find her a home....with no luck....I've been talking to her foster Linda and Avala has really come out of her shell, and some of her actions speak SD to me....sooo I'm thrilled to announce that she will be going to Matt with K9 Resoonder Academy!! This is the organization we've been collaborating with who takes shelter/rescue dogs and trains them for first responders/veterans. We couldn't be happier that we found this group as they are amazing people!!! So pls stay tuned to see what happens with Avala! We'll keep everyone posted!

Secondly we did not get very many donations for our charity bureau application....so seeing how today is Tuesday....we're doing our
$2 TUESDAY FUNDRAISER!!!! So our platforms are below....pls donate if you can as we're short still about $200!

Also....I'm happy to let everyone know we have a foster who is willing to take on a young GSd who is good with other dogs and cats.....under 2 years old...soooo if you have a GSD that you know needs rescue AND they are good with other dogs and cats, PLEASE send us a message!!!

Stephanie posted a little while ago and mentioned that one of our rescues, Mira, is at the vet in SC extremely ill. It was suggested we do a post just about Mira so here it is:

Mira is a three-year-old German Shepherd, whose rescue was facilitated by our rescue partner in South Carolina. Mira is currently very ill the veterinarian with what it appears to be an intestinal blockage. 😢

Mira had unfortunately escaped several weeks ago and it took awhile to to get her back because she became skittish when she was running loose. Even though food was regularly put out for her, she has lost a significant amount of weight and then this morning it was found that she had vomited overnight, and the vomiting continued through the morning, despite giving her appropriate nausea and other medicine.

Mira’s gums are very pale, indicating potential anemia, whether it’s from weight loss or possibly internal bleeding, and she is very listless. Normally she’s a bounce off the walls happy girl!

The veterinary examination and diagnostics alone will probably be several hundred dollars even with a rescue discount, but if she has to have hospitalization and or surgery for an intestinal blockage, it will run into the thousands.

So we are seeking donations for Mira’s care as her condition is very serious and appears to be life-threatening. We will update with an estimate for her care late today. First photo is when she was healthy and the others are from today at the veterinary hospital.

Hello everyone!! So unfortunately as you can see we haven't posted in a few weeks...that's because of the issues with getting a "charity bureau" number through NY state....we have to have this number in order to move forward with licensing....so I've been VERY careful NOT to disobey any rules or laws put forth by the dept of agriculture....I've been very conservative so i felt it was best to not post until I felt more comfortable....my apologies for my lack of communication....so the good news is that we are moving forward with this number BUT OF COURSE anything to do with NY state requires money!!! So annoying....so today we are asking for some help....for 2 things....but I also happy to announce we have a foster who's willing to foster a young GSD so if you know if any who need help, pls let us know....secondly....one of our pups is seriously sick....Mira we think has a blockage and we want to help with her bills....she's at the vet currently so we're posting our platforms below and we're hoping since we haven't posted asking for donations in a while, we'll get some help to help Mira!

Thirdly....we need to raise the $ for thr charity bureau's application....it's roughly $250....again our platform are below....

Fourthly....we are moving forward with STILL trying to find a home for Avala! We cannot understand why she's still in foster. Her foster mama has tried everything to find her a home with no luck!!! We will do a big post about her tomorrow, as I do have something up my sleeve....so stay tuned!

Right now since it's Friday and we haven't done a fundraiser in a while....we're hoping that we can do a $5 FRIDAY FUNDRAISER! So if you can participate in donating your five dollars, please do so platforms below. Also a few pics of beautiful mirror at the vet, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

Well, we have had one hell of a week, that I'm still reeling from! As many know, my partner works in NYC, and unfortunately, we have two homes as the commute from the Hudson Valley down to NYC is and can be very, very taxing and tiring… So he spends half the week down there and then half a week in the Hudson Valley with me… One of the reasons that I fell for him was because he had an incredible love of dogs, and when I met his little puffball, Mia, she was the sweetest thing ever! For those of you who know me personally, y'all know that I am not a small dog person, so when he told me he had a small dog, I wasn't sure if we were going to last lol🤣🤣🤣 but I met her, and she is just the sweetest little thing going! We have not really had the opportunity to spend a good 10 days to two weeks, acclimating her to my pack, so she spends her time in Brooklyn, with half the week with her pet sitter and the other half with Jose! Last week he was at work and got a frantic phone call from the pet sitter that she was in bad shape… Fast-forward 12 hours later and she was on her deathbed… at only seven years old we couldn't figure out what was going on, but her organs were failing, and then the dreaded phone call came from the vet that she had pyometra!! anybody who knows pyo knows that you need to have immediate surgery or the outcome is death… She was in such grave condition , they had to wait till they had antibiotics on board and got her rehydrated and made her stable enough to go into surgery, that's how bad she was… Fast-forward 10 days, and $15,000 later, she is back to her normal little spunky self… Two things I want to address, I am not a proponent of Spaying or neutering dogs while they are still puppies are even young adults… Whenever anybody has asked me, my go to response is at least two years old for females and 2 1/2 years old for males, pushing it to three if possible… Quite frankly, it's nobody's business what you do with your dogs, so if you choose to keep your dogs, intact, that's your business, but please do not breed unless you are a breeder, or you know what you're doing, AND you have several homes already lined up for the litter of puppies you're about to have! And please research how deadly pyo is! The really upsetting thing now that she is OK, was the response from the vet staff… I couldn't get over how cold and nasty they were, when my partner is literally on the phone in tears, asking how much the bill was going to be, and getting a quote of $15,000 or "we could just euthanize her"!! I don't understand what is happening with veterinary medicine these days, as I understand hospitalization and surgery is expensive, but $15,000! I could see $5000, but $15,000!?? By the grace of God we have credit cards and had the money, but I honestly don't know one person who has $15,000 laying around, and knowing that their animal was going to be euthanized is absolutely heartbreaking… Something has to be done because leaving an owner facing either a $15,000 bill or euthanasia is just not acceptable! And I completely and totally understand and respect that those in veterinary medicine need to get paid, but charging somebody $15,000 is absolutely despicable!

I'm going to put this out there, and I would like everybody to know that this is an option! It is not mandatory, it is not even suggested, it's an option… I don't know how much of my own personal money that I have dumped into this organization but suffice to say it's in the thousands, probably tens of thousands of dollars over the last 12 years that we've existed.... unfortunately, any dogs that are in our care right now, or any dogs that are even being thought about coming into our organization, there is no extra money, meaning my personal money… Nine out of 10 times when we haven't had the money needed, I would always front the money, and most of the time not paying myself back because quite honestly this is something that I love. However, things are extremely tight right now, and I'm asking those of you who know me personally, know what I do personally for this organization, and know that I have put years and years of blood, sweat and tears, including financial assistance into this organization, if you would like to help with a donation to help pay off our $15,000 bill, for me, feel free to send a donation to my personal Venmo account, which is below… Please understand that this was a horrible decision that had to be made, however, our pack is our life, just like our kids, and there isn't anything that we wouldn't do for them!

Secondly, I am absolutely devastated to realize and recognize that my sweetheart of a boy, and my daughter's dog pride has pretty bad hip dysplasia… He's not even seven years old, and is having trouble walking, running, and using stairs… I would like to ask those of you who have dealt with dogs who have orthopedic issues, what supplements have you found that have been helpful, and what prescription medicines have you found that have alleviated some of the issues… Pride is from a very well known and respected breeder, and I know his parents, and they are in fantastic health… Sometimes things just happen… It's breaking my heart recognizing that he is in pain, and we're doing things right now before our vet appointment so that he has some relief, but I would like to hear from everybody your thoughts on supplements and prescription meds that have helped your dogs…

Lastly, things have been slow on the front, as I've been dealing with all of these issues, and unfortunately, AVALA's Foster cannot foster her in June, so we are desperately looking for another Foster for her, hoping we can get her up into the New England area… We do have a possibility of somebody in New Hampshire, so please keep your fingers crossed that we can get her a permanent home!

Oh, and one last thing, thank you for those of you who donated for her Transport cost, I do want to ask that we still have an outstanding bill for Diesel and his obedience training, only $100… I'm leaving up our platforms, so if you'd like to help, that would be extremely generous of you! Right now we don't really need monetary support other than for Diesel, and a little bit of money to get from New York to New Hampshire if that goes through… So if you'd like to help, please use our platforms below… And again, my own personal platform, can be used if you'd like to help with our ridiculous $15,000 bill… Please know that even if you choose to help me, that overall will be helping our organization as that will be able to give me some extra personal money to use, Should something come up...

Couple of pictures of Jose with Mia, and lastly, the picture of my daughter with one of our very first dogs we rescued Zoey! Man, she was a handful! A very dominant female, but one of the sweetest dogs that I've ever come through our doors!

That's it for now we'll be back with some pictures of AVALA as soon as I can get them uploaded!
