Today we lay to rest our former LETR Director, Torch Runner, Polar Plunger, coach, and dear friend, Mr. John Pre. Pre was the true epitome of a Guardian of the Flame of Hope. His love and dedication to our Athletes was unwavering — he was their biggest cheerleader, fiercest supporter, and always standing beside them every step of the way.

Pre’s kindness, compassion, and belief in inclusion touched so many lives and helped shape the spirit of our movement. While our hearts are heavy, we are forever grateful for the impact he made on each of us.

You will always be with us, Pre, and we promise to carry forward your legacy of kindness, love, and inclusion every single day.

Thank you Rosticceria Rossi & Sons - Rossi&SonsAlimentari for partnering w/ Special Olympics New York during Polar Plunge season. Rossi’s, known to locals (and far beyond) for having the BEST paninis in NYS, partnered with us to have a panini of the month special during Feb. & March at their Eastdale Village Town Center- the home of our third Polar Plunge event. The tasty fundraiser brought in $1,000 for our athletes! 😍

Today we stopped by John W Danforth and spoke at their morning meeting. We were able to present the top fundraising awards to their Buffalo office! They had an internal competition between Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany!

Congratulations to the Buffalo team for winning the trophy and raising over $18,000!!
