Bruno Update❤️

Here's a quick video from Ronnie and Bruno from the Uganda Cancer Institute in Kampala.

A heartfelt thank you to Mt. Pleasant Southern Baptist Church for welcoming Ssatu Hearts Foundation and giving us the opportunity to share our mission with your congregation.

We are deeply grateful for your kindness, hospitality, and willingness to learn more about the children and orphanages we serve in Uganda. It was an honor to tell their stories, share the work being done, and explain how churches can help provide food, medical care, educational support, and other essential needs.

Bruno Update

Today is a day we have been praying for.

After weeks of testing, appointments, and waiting, Bruno has officially been admitted to the hospital and is expected to undergo surgery within the next few days.

Even more encouraging, his biopsy confirmed that the tumor is not cancerous. While he still faces a major surgery and a long road to recovery, this is an incredible answer to prayer and gives us hope for the future.

One thing we have learned through this process is that many patients in Uganda are expected to bring much of what they need during their hospital stay, including their own bedding, toiletries, and even food. We have been working hard to provide these essentials for Bruno, but the costs continue to add up, especially with an extended stay in Kampala and surgery now just ahead.

If you have been looking for a way to help, this is one of those moments where your generosity makes a direct difference. Your support is helping ensure Bruno has not only the surgery he desperately needs, but also the basic necessities to get through his recovery.

Bruno Update

Bruno has had to remain in Kampala longer than expected after an election day caused his appointment to be postponed. While the delay has added additional costs for transportation, lodging, meals, and continued care, we are grateful that he is still receiving the medical attention he needs.

Because of the extent and complexity of Bruno’s condition, a new doctor has now been brought in to oversee his care moving forward. We are hopeful this will provide clearer direction and help determine the best possible treatment plan for him.

Bruno’s journey is not over, and we need help covering the expenses that continue to arise while he remains in Kampala. Every donation, regardless of size, helps provide the care and support he needs.

Bruno and his dedicated teacher Ronnie are traveling to Kampala today for his Dr appointment tomorrow. They should tell us the next steps in Bruno's treatment at this appointment.
