The Hudson Valley ReEntry Network is an inter-county network, consisting of 11 counties, that connects formerly incarcerated people and their families to supportive services, organizations and businesses that foster successful ReEntry. This connection is made through the Hudson Valley ReEntry Network's user-friendly website that lists these supportive services in their respective counties. The 11
counties consist of: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rocklamd, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester. HVRN Seven (7) Point Program
1. The Hudson Valley ReEntry Website: A user-friendly resource designed to connect supportive services, organizations and businesses that assist soon to be released and formerly incarcerated people in their journey toward successful ReEntry in the Hudson Valley. The ReEntry 411 website benefits formerly incarcerated persons and their families, assists other reentry programs with valuable sources, and can also provide an endless list of information to help assist correctional counselors, as well as parole and probation officers as they accumulate resources for the inmates upon release.
2. The ReEntry Hotline: A direct referral telephone system designed to connect formerly incarcerated people, and their families without Internet access, or those who would prefer to speak directly to an individual, to listed information on the website. Phone: (845) 705- 8417
3. Wounded Healer's Support Group: an open-ended support group designed specifically for formerly incarcerated people to address transition, PTSD, employment, family and other personal issues in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment.
4. Community Initiative: A program in which formerly incarcerated people volunteer to rebuild selected areas within the community suffering from neglect, damage, or deterioration. This program allows for formerly incarcerated people to "give back" to the community.
5. Speakers for Hope Network: Consists of a selected group of men and women who have served time in NY state prisons and have consistently distinguished themselves as role models in prison and in their communities upon their release.
6. "Agents of Change" Awards Ceremony: this is an annual ceremony sponsored by HVRN highlighting exceptional incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people.
7. ReEntry Residential Housing: An eight to ten-man reentry residential program that provides safe, supportive housing environment connected to therapeutic and self-development programs as well as employment and educational opportunities.
