Local 814 has asked us to send out a reminder about the upcoming picnic and membership meeting as they have extended the RSVP due date to the 8th. You should have received your RSVP card in the mail by now. If you don't want to mail it in to the office you can also hand them to a shop steward or unit officer directly.

This invite comes via CSEA Metropolitan Region 2. Please note that this is being held in place of the traditional Saturday parade, due to holiday observances that weekend:

CSEA family, come join us on Tuesday, September 8th, at for Our City, Our Fight, Our Future, a rally and march beginning on Liberty Street in Lower Manhattan.

We will meet at the Region 2 office (125 Maiden Lane, 5th Floor) at 3 PM. We will have food and refreshments, along with t-shirts. The rally will begin at 4:30 and we will march to Foley Sq.

Mark your calendars, CSEA Local 814 is having their annual picnic at Bowdoin Park on September 19th, 2026! RSVP postcards will be mailed out to all members later this summer, so keep an eye out and make sure your mailing address is up-to-date with CSEA. For those who haven't attended the CSEA picnic before, it's a fun event with great food, a chance to connect with members from other Units in Local 814, and raffles/prizes. The event kicks off with a Local membership meeting to discuss business and have a Q&A with our Local leadership at noon and then the rest of the afternoon is all about having fun with fellow members from across the county. We hope to see you there!
