Event in partnership with Solstice Pottsville Event Engagement Team.

Schuylkill County Trout Unlimited and Solstice family fishing rodeo on May 9 and 10 th will be a free event. Kids fish 8-11 with prizes being awarded. Adults can fish from 11 till closing both days. The event is at S&A Trout Ponds in Orwigsburg. A food truck will be on site if you would like to purchase food. Drinks will be provided free both days.

Schuylkill County Trout Unlimited will be holding their kids fishing Rodeo along with Southend Field and Stream on May 3rd with a rain date May 4th. It will be held at Southend Field and Stream starting at 8am with registration starting at 7am. Prices will be given and food supplied for the kids 15 years and under . This is a free event for kids 15 and under.

For the Eastern Smooth Green Snake, green = luck and survival ☘️

This little snake is said to be the most gentle of all North American snakes and grows only to about 20 inches long. Camouflaged from predators, it spends most of its time on the ground in grassy meadows and marshlands earning the nickname "green grass snake". 🐍
