Hey all - We're doing something different this year! We'll be creating an original play with a "walking tour" feel to it!

We need a couple more kids to make sure this summer creative devisement drama workshop is a go! Our maximum capacity is 14 participants.
This seven day workshop meets at the Pottstown Children's Discovery Center and will run on a special schedule based on Discovery Center space availability. It is open to students aged 9 to 15 (older students may be accepted after conversation with the Arts Bubble). We're still looking for camp leaders too and hope our young leaders will be aged 16 and up.
The planned schedule is:
August 4, Tuesday, 1 to 4 p.m. - Games, Improv and Script Building (in upstairs space, tour kids through museum for inspiration for play)
August 5, Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Song creation work, Ensemble Games, Improv and Playwrights Workshop PLEASE BRING LUNCH AND SNACKS
August 6, Thursday, 1 to 4 p.m. - Finalize script and rough block the play (I'm thinking at max the play will run 20 minutes but we may do a few performances on Wednesday )
NO WORKSHOP REHEARSALS Friday August 7 to Sunday, August 9- students work on memorization and come in off book
August 10, Monday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Staging the play! This is afull day. PLEASE BRING LUNCH AND SNACKS and lots of water!
August 11, Tuesday, 1 to 4 p.m. - Rehearsals, costume work and Set Building (may be cancelled if we don't have set building to do, so prepare for that eventuality)
August 12, Wednesday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Finish staging, Dress Rehearsals, run for invited guests
August 13, Thursday 9 a.m. call, Dress Rehearsal; NOON walking TOUR PERFORMANCE for the public. End time will be figured out after the play has been written, assume no later than 4 p.m. pickup, but might be as early as 1 p.m.)
All Arts Bubble programs are "free", but we survive solely on donations, so we ask students/parents to consider what they can afford and make a donation, sell program ads and/or seek donors to support the project. Your assistance with donor building assists us in continuing this youth initiated annual leadership training program, currently in its sixth year.
The program is offered this year at the Pottstown Children's Discovery Center at 95 S Hanover St, Pottstown, PA. Tickets to the performance will be limited due to space and our goal is to create a performance that is a "walking tour" of the Center. There will be a Wednesday performance just for invited guests and an open to the public performance on Thursday of the schedule.
