SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team (SafeHART) is a program of Animal House Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team has an Adoption Donation.

We are dedicated to the rescue and adoption of large breed dogs in Texas, as well as smaller to medium sized dogs and puppies in Pennsylvania. In 2021, Animal House Project, a 501 c3 Charity, created the SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team program. All of our dogs are housed in Klondike, Texas and we have transport available for the right adopters. We require a completed application; interview with the a

pplicant and all adult parties living in the household. We will interview the personal references, employer and vets if there are other animals in the home. We make no secret that we demand that the homes our pups go to are the best for all parties. Not a Fee. We do not sell our dogs. When you adopt from us, you become part of our Pack and we will do everything we can to ensure that the adoption is a success. whether through training and education. We will always be the parachute for all of the dogs that go through our program. We partner and work only with the best rescues who meet our standards when it comes to large breed dogs. 🖤🐾 SOME DOGS JUST HIT DIFFERENT… AND SHADOW IS ONE OF THEM 🐾🖤

There’s something about this little face that stops you for a second.

Maybe it’s the eyes.
Maybe it’s the tiny pink-and-black nose.
Maybe it’s the way he looks at people like he’s quietly hoping *this* might finally be his person. ❤️

Shadow has been waiting patiently at Animal House Retail for Rescue, and honestly… we cannot understand why this precious boy is still here.

This puppy should already be curled up on someone’s couch, following his family room to room, learning what it feels like to truly belong. 🥹🐶

Instead, he waits.
He watches people come and go.
And every day, he keeps hoping his turn is coming.

Shadow is still just a baby, which means his whole future is sitting right in front of him. The family who adopts him won’t just be getting an adorable puppy they’ll be shaping a loyal companion, a best friend, a hiking buddy, a couch snuggler, and a dog who will love them with his entire heart for years to come.

Yes, there will be puppy moments.
Chewed toys.
Zoomies.
Goofy chaos.
The occasional questionable life choice. 😂

But there will also be the kind of love only a rescue dog can give the deep, unconditional kind that changes a house into a home. ❤️

Shadow deserves more than kennel life.
He deserves bedtime routines.
Morning walks.
A family laughing at his silliness.
Someone telling him every single day that he’s safe and loved.

And if we’re being honest… whoever adopts him is going to be incredibly lucky. 🖤🐾

We need thoughts, prayers, and donations urgently for our sweet pup, Riot. We need our supporters, followers, and community to come together to help us save this boy. Riot is at VRC as we speak to be admitted for exploratory/foreign body surgery. As you can see, he is vomiting and also having horrible diarrhea. Whatever he ate is mostly in his stomach, but unfortunately, it is traveling partly down the small intestines, which is a huge problem. He is currently getting an ultrasound done to determine next steps but we need to raise $4,000. We are financially tapped out like every rescue is right now, this is a huge huge hit. Please share, please donate… $5 can go such a long ways🐾

Thank you to Trinity, his guardian angel, Wendy who transported him from Magnolia to SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team’s Texas Ranch to Montana White who nursed him back to health to Steven Wezel who brought him north to our dedicated Akita fosters Dennis and Jenn, who like myself and my family fell in love with him. ♥️♥️. My heart is truly filled with love of the care and I wish we had two of him because he had two families interested in his adoption. 🐾🥰

🎉🎉🎉. This week has been a happy one for SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team in Texas as we finally had an adoption of a long time resident! She came to us from a Lancaster, PA farm as a quiet, skittish girl! Well, guess what? Twinkle has left the ranch and made her way to her new family in Las Vegas, Nevada! Thank you to the Estes Family for raising your hand to adopt this precious girl. ❤️❤️❤️

LOVEY IS STILL SEARCHING HIGH AND LOW FOR HER FOREVER FAMILY.

Lovey would like everyone to know she is FULLY committed to helping with your gardening this summer.

Unfortunately… her qualifications currently include:
✔️ Digging where she shouldn’t
✔️ Carrying sticks around like prized treasures
✔️ Supervising from the flower beds
✔️ Attempting to “replant” things with her paws
✔️ Looking adorable enough to avoid all accountability 😂

This precious Lab/Shepherd mix puppy is somehow STILL waiting at Animal House Retail for Rescue, and honestly, we cannot believe it either. ❤️

Just look at this face.
Those ears.
Those sweet puppy eyes that clearly say,
👉 “I would absolutely love you forever.” 🥹🐾

Lovey is at that beautiful puppy stage where the world is exciting, every person is a potential best friend, and every day is another opportunity to learn, grow, and spread joy.

Yes, she’s a puppy.
Which means there will be zoomies.
There may be chewed-up socks.
There will absolutely be random moments of chaos and questionable life decisions. 😌

But there will also be:
❤️ Unconditional love
❤️ Endless companionship
❤️ Laughter every single day
❤️ A loyal best friend who thinks you are the greatest human alive

The family who chooses Lovey isn’t just adopting a dog.
They’re gaining a sidekick for adventures, couch snuggles, morning coffee supervision, emotional support during bad days, and unconditional loyalty for years to come.

🌙⭐️🌟MEET LEXI - OUR CORPORATE QUEEN of SAFEHAVEN 🌟

Some dogs are chaos coordinators.
Some dogs are couch potatoes.

And then there’s Lexi…who runs her life like a Fortune 500 Executive with a color-coded calendar and absolutely no patience for nonsense. 😎

This stunning Akita/Shepherd mix is one of our longest residents here at SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team in Texas, and honestly?! We think the world just hasn’t caught up to her level yet!!

At nearly 6 years young, Lexi is entering that beautiful Akita/Shepherd maturity where the breed’s true personality shines - calm, loyal, intelligent, regal and deeply devoted to “her person”. 👑🐾

She thrives with structure and routine at the ranch.
She is trained.
She is wicked smart. No joke.
She understands boundaries better than many humans I know. 😂😂

And while she takes her “executive duties” seriously, don’t let her fool you. Lexi LOVES the play yard and enjoys letting loose when meetings are over for the day.

Now let’s discuss her non-negotiables because Lexi absolutely has standards:

✔️ Must be only Pet
✔️ No Small Children. She doesn’t know her size.
✔️ Must appreciate loyalty, intelligence, and a little strong female energy.

Lexi isn’t looking for everyone.
She is looking for HER person. The one who will become the moon and the stars in her world. 🌙🌟
