— UPDATE ON GAS LEAK —

Gas flow to Potter has been restored. Black Hills technicians are going door to door to complete the re-light process for utilities in homes. They plan to work until 10pm tonight and start up again tomorrow morning.

—PANHANDLE ALERT—

High flow natural gas leak South of Potter. The Village of Potter will be without natural gas until at least 6pm tonight.

🚧 Bridge Closure Notice 🚧

The westbound bridge at Potter will be closed today and tomorrow for maintenance.

Please use extra caution while traveling through the area. Traffic will be rerouted using the on/off ramps.

It was a great weekend at Potter Days. We participated in the parade, watched one of our own receive the Amy Jones Volunteer Award, saw Chief get dunked in the dunk tank, watered the motocross race track, filled the jump pond, cooled off a few riders (per their request) and offered EMS services alongside SRMC.

❤️🚒 National Volunteer Firefighter Day 🚒❤️

Today we recognize and celebrate the incredible volunteers of Potter Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department!

These men and women give their time, training, and energy to serve our community — often leaving their families, jobs, and everyday lives at a moment’s notice to answer a call for help. 

Being a volunteer firefighter is more than putting on the gear. It’s about commitment, courage, sacrifice, teamwork, and community.

To each of our Potter Fire & Rescue volunteers: THANK YOU for answering the call and for everything you do to protect and serve the Potter community and surrounding area. We are incredibly grateful for each and everyone of you!!
