Potsdam Harry Potter Alliance Albus Dumbledore said in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, "We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided."

As our own chapter of the Harry Potter Alliance, we plan to be a real-life Dumbledore's Army and join the HPA in spreading their unique brand of activism. We plan to tackle such things as human rights equality, issues most commonly ignored by the media such as genocide and climate change, and the "Muggle Mindset," which is a belief that one can be happy being "perfectly normal, thank you very much." We plan to spread the belief that it is okay to be unique and that love is the greatest weapon.

If anyone is local and interested over the summer, I just got this inquiry from the Canton free library:

Hi there! I am the Young Adult Services Specialist at the Canton Free Library. Every year, as part of our Summer Library Program, we host a Harry Potter Week. We screen all of the films, give away Chocolate Frogs, and hope to see awesome costumes. This year I had plans to host a quidditch match as part of the event. Unfortunately, I have been out of work for quite some time with an injury and have only recently been able to start putting events together. As a result, I gave up on the idea of a quidditch match. That is until Sam McBroom pointed me in your direction.

Now, believe me, I know this is short notice, so there will be no hard feelings regardless of your response. However, I must ask: do you have anyone who would be available and interested in organizing and running an all-ages quidditch match for the library? I'm not looking for anything huge. I was thinking an hour to three hours of teaching and playing the sport in the Village Park (or in the library's community room), followed by some butter beer and snacks. The group will not be terribly large, I would guess 5-10 people, most likely 12-18 years in age. And I was hoping maybe we could aim for the afternoon (2ish?) on Monday, July 30th, but I'm open to alternatives.

Again, I understand if this is too short of notice, or if everyone will be gone for the summer, or if you just can't think of anyone who might be interested. A heads-up either way would be much appreciated.
