The Tallgrass Gala Auction is OPEN—and everyone can participate!

Every bid helps us bring world-class musicians, exceptional chamber music, and arts education to the Driftless Region and helps make the 2027 Tallgrass season possible.

You don’t need to attend the Gala to join the fun. Browse the auction, place a bid, and help us keep the music playing!

Join us Sunday, August 23 at 3pm at Sinsinawa Chapel for our annual gala, where we will raise funds to support the 2027 festival season. The evening includes a cocktail hour, an auction featuring one-of-a-kind offerings and experiences, and a concert performed between dinner courses, featuring Tallgrass Artists.

Tallgrass runs on the support of people like you! Every ticket, bid, and sponsorship helps us bring concerts and community events to the Driftless Region for another season. Please consider our sponsorship and support opportunities, and if you can’t join us in person on August 23rd, watch out for an online auction coming soon to our website, with special items to support Tallgrass.

That’s a wrap on the fourth season of Tallgrass!🥂
We are so grateful to every artist, staff member, volunteer, donor and audience member who makes the music come alive at Tallgrass.
Our 2026 season concluded with an afternoon of quartets by Andrew Norman, Osvaldo Golijov and Beethoven along with harp quintets by William Grant Still and Jean Cras that brought the audience to their feet.

There’s no need to wait until next summer to experience more Tallgrass, as we have many exciting offerings during the rest of the year 👀. Watch this space, and/or join the newsletter at tallgrassfestival.org. Bravi to all!

Our June 26 concert this past weekend featured a pair of fantastical trios by Miguel del Aguila and Ernst von Dohnányi, as well fugue-filled string quartets including Mozart’s reworking of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, and Shostakovich’s perennial String Quartet No. 8.
We thank our wonderful performers and patrons for an incredible night of music-making!

During Week 2 of the festival, we presented a day of open rehearsals throughout the tri-state area, offering a glimpse behind the scenes of how our concerts come to be. We loved having the opportunity to answer questions and workshop pieces for the patrons at Galena Center for the Arts as well as the wonderful students at Potosi School District!
