ATTENTION IN THE PITS!!!
White Pine Warmup is just a week away!
FORMAT INFORMATION AND VINTAGE CLASS RULES WILL BE FOUND IN THIS POST!!!
PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE, as well as comment below to get the algorithm working.... help spread the word!
Classes listed on flyer, $25 first class, $15 second class, $10 for novice or 3rd class. There will be an awesome raffle after the Nitro main!!!
White Pine Warmup has traditionally been 3 rounds of heads up racing , random grids...no quals with the exception of Nitro Buggy which will qualify and run a 20min main. It was brought to our attention last year that this isn't optimal in classes that have more than one heat.... so, there will be a slight change...
-Open practice from sunrise until approximately 10:30AM , followed by final track prep and drivers meeting. Racing to start at approximately 11AM... please feel free to join us Friday and or stay until Sunday, shenanigans may occur during those times ;)
-3 rounds of heads up racing , 7min for all classes except nitro buggy....
-first round will be a random grid, with re-sorts for rounds two and three.
-Nitro buggy will run a 5min qual after round 1, and run their main after round 2.
-Final results will be basically the same as qual points... Best 2 of 3 runs, with ties broken by combined laps and time of the 2 counting runs.
-Awards for top 3 after the mains.... fun all day long!
-Please bring a generator if you have one handy, and bring extensions cords to get power into your pits... there WILL be enough power for everyone's pits as usual.
VINTAGE racing at PRRC....there will also be a Vintage class for the events in July and Sept.
An RC10 Team Car Gold Edition kit with some Factory Works goodies will be in the raffle , and there are some awesome custom awards for the Vintage 2wd class....
The goal is to keep it as open and inviting as possible, in hopes of continuing to build a vintage scene in the area... there is also a 2wd Open Wheel class at this event for any vehicles that don't fit the Vintage Class rules to compete in.
Vintage 2wd Class Rules
Any original or rerelease 2wd 1/10 RC platform based off of designs from 1997 and earlier. If you have any questions about a car being eligible, please ask in the comments. This includes buggies, stadium trucks, "gas trucks" , and others... as long as they're from the correct era or a rerelease of a car from that era.
2S lipo limit, modern electronics and brushless setups allowed, open/mod motor (any turn 540 sized brushed or brushless) , as well as fuel powered 2wd vehicles from 1997 and earlier.
2.2" modern tires/wheels allowed, as well as period correct sizes smaller than 2.2".
Hop ups and modifications allowed as long as they don't drastically alter the geometry of the car or its original design... examples: modern shocks/springs allowed ... modern ball cups and ball studs allowed, along with changing turnbuckles...
Examples of things not encouraged or which will likely result in cars being asked to be raced in 2wd Open Wheel class... mid motor conversions... entirely changing suspension and/or steering components to modern parts (such as B6 arms, c-hubs, & spindles making the entire front end basically modern parts) ...
The hope is to build a scene to a point where we eventually might have a "pure vintage" class, a more "neo vintage" class, and still a open wheel class.... maybe a separate GT class or 4wd class at some point. For now lets have some good fun!
Get ready to send it!!!
