Today, our students attended the Area X Convention and Banquet. They listened to a keynote address, candidate speeches, and talent teams while meeting other students from across our area. Two of our students, Kaycee Kaiser and Laci Cumpian, were recognized for their participation in the area speaking competition. Kaycee placed 5th in junior prepared public speaking, while Laci placed 14th in animal science. Our students learned valuable skills and information from the Area X association that will be crucial in developing the future of Poteet FFA.

The Poteet FFA Forage team competed in the state contest today. They ranked 43rd in the state. This was these kids' first year ever trying the Forage CDE contest, and boy, did we learn a lot. We look forward to growing the team next year and becoming more competitive at the state level.
