1st Breakout Session at the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee Conference was one for the books!

We kicked things off with Farm in a Bag, presented by Burton Harmon, followed by Germs Are Everywhere, presented by ME - Cyndi Mackey!

Whew… following Burton was no small task, but I truly believe our participants enjoyed the session and left excited, encouraged, and ready to take these lessons back to their own communities.

If you don’t have the Farm in a Bag Kit, contact your county Farm Bureau office and request one! The full kit is only $100 and offers endless opportunities to teach, engage, and share agriculture with others.

And of course… Germs Are Everywhere! The ladies with Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom do an incredible job creating hands-on lessons that are easy to access, fun to teach, and simple to take back home to our communities.

Truth be told, I always felt like teaching was part of my calling. College and Cyndi may not have been the perfect match, but God had another plan. Through the years, The Community State Bank gave me the opportunity to teach local students about saving, investing, and spending wisely.

And through my volunteer work with the LeFlore County Farm Bureau and Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers and Womens Leadership Committee programs, plus Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom, I continue to be blessed with opportunities to teach, share lessons, and advocate for all things agriculture.

And now, we are proud to incorporate these AITC lessons into our field trips and kids crafts at MackMazing Acres, allowing even more children and families to learn where their food, fiber, and fuel come from in a fun, hands-on environment.

Sometimes life takes you down a different road… but still leads you exactly where you were meant to be. 💚🌾

The week's conclusion was marked by a successful sale. Gratitude is extended to the LeFlore County Junior Livestock Show Board, Ms. Reece and the Bokoshe FFA for managing the concession, all volunteers and parents who contributed to the event's success.
