Attention parents: Arkoma Head Start & Early Head Start classrooms will be closed Friday, 2/27/2026, due to illness. Also, the Talihina Head Start classroom will be closed Friday, 2/27/2026, due to illness. (The Talihina Early Head Start classroom will remain open.)

We apologize for an inconvenience this may cause, but we want to be proactive, having staff clean and disinfect the centers and classrooms, while giving children an extra day to get well over the weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

Look what this CASC Head Start kiddo made! His mom sent us pictures of him making a pizza from the grocery items that we were able to send home through a Supplemental Nutrition Grant called the Fuel & Grow Backpack Program. Each child enrolled in our program receives food bags each week! He added some fresh veggies to make his pizza even more tasty! Thanks, mom, for letting him be the chef for the night! 🍕

We are happy to announce that all Save the Children Head Start centers in LeFlore County will be open on Monday, 2/2/2026! This includes Arkoma, CASC/Poteau, Panama, Spiro & Talihina centers.

We ask all parents & staff to PLEASE be safe when traveling to the centers in the morning. Also, use caution when entering/exiting buildings & parking lots as melting & refreezing may have occurred during the night. We look forward to seeing you!

All Save the Children Head Start centers will be closed on Friday, January 30, 2026. This includes Arkoma, CASC/Poteau, Panama, Spiro & Talihina sites. We are working to get parking lots and walkways safe for our children, families & staff. Thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe. We look forward to seeing you next week!
