Congratulations to Quenton Powell, recipient of the 2026 Branton "Buddy" Ramsey Memorial Scholarship!

Quenton, a 2026 graduate of Whitesboro High School, will begin pursuing his Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems at Carl Albert State College this fall.

Established in 2023, the Branton "Buddy" Ramsey Memorial Scholarship was created to support students pursuing a degree in computer science or participating in the esports program at CASC. We are proud to award our 4th annual scholarship to Quenton and celebrate this exciting milestone in his educational journey.

Please join us in congratulating Quenton and wishing him much success as he begins this next chapter. We can't wait to see all that he accomplishes!

This scholarship would not be possible without the incredible support of our Brantstock community. 🌟 Business Spotlight: Calico County 🌟

A huge thank you to Calico County for supporting the Branton Ramsey Legacy Foundation by donating to our raffle which will be held in conjunction with Brantstock August 21-23!

For years, Calico County has been serving up classic American favorites made from scratch in a warm, nostalgic atmosphere. Known for generous portions and homestyle cooking, it's a local favorite for families and friends gathering around a great meal.

Local businesses like this make our raffle possible, and we're incredibly grateful for their generosity and commitment to our community. We encourage everyone to support the businesses that support local youth and make programs like ours possible.

🎟 General raffle tickets are available now at The Legendarie Game Store located at 903 S. Broadway St., Poteau during regular business hours through August 22. The general raffle features gift certificates, merchandise, experiences, and services donated by local businesses throughout the area.

🔥 Tickets for our featured custom fire pit raffle are also available at The Legendaire Game Store.

Proceeds from both raffles support the Branton "Buddy" Ramsey Memorial Scholarship at Carl Albert State College and other BRLF programs that create opportunities for youth through MAGIC — Music, Art, Gaming, IT, and Career Development.

We'll be announcing additional ticket locations and sales dates soon, so stay tuned!

A huge thank you to UAFS Center for Economic Development and the Center for Nonprofits for hosting Get On Board this past Thursday and creating an opportunity for nonprofits and community leaders to connect.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped by the Branton Ramsey Legacy Foundation table, listened to our story, asked questions, and expressed interest in helping us create opportunities for youth through MAGIC—Music, Art, Gaming, IT, and Career Development.

One of the most inspiring parts of the evening was meeting so many business leaders, professionals, and community members who are willing to share their expertise, experience, and connections to help make a difference in the lives of young people.

The conversations we had tonight reminded us that no nonprofit succeeds alone. It takes a community of people who believe in a mission and are willing to invest their time, talents, and hearts to help it grow.

We're excited to follow up with those interested in serving on our Advisory Board and helping us build something meaningful that will impact young people for years to come.

This membership represents our commitment to operating with integrity, accountability, and transparency as a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing with both the State of Arkansas and the IRS.

Building a nonprofit takes dedication behind the scenes — learning, growing, staying compliant, and creating a strong foundation to serve others well. We are incredibly grateful for the support and guidance we’ve received along the way from the Center for Nonprofits and especially Emily Treadaway, CNP Director, whose encouragement, resources, networking opportunities, and nonprofit guidance have already made a meaningful impact on BRLF as we continue building for the future.

We are honored to stand alongside other organizations in the River Valley who are working to strengthen our community and create lasting impact.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend The River Valley Social get together. This event is a monthly networking get together for women only and it was such an encouraging experience. There is something powerful about women coming together to support, encourage, and uplift one another while building meaningful connections in the community.

Networking is about so much more than business cards and introductions. It’s about relationships, learning from each other, sharing ideas, and finding ways to grow together. Women truly are some of the strongest supporters of other women, and that was evident throughout the entire event.

A special thank you to Hannah Harris, owner of Savvy Social Creative, for her informative presentation on the Do’s and Dont's of Social Media. There were so many great tips and valuable insights shared that are helpful for businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs alike.

I enjoyed meeting so many new people and having conversations about community, collaboration, and making a difference. Women supporting women is a beautiful thing, and I’m grateful to have been part of it.
